An adjustable, tool-free motor cam lock and quick release motor latches provide easy depth change, quick motor pack removal and solid base locking. Precision-machined die-cast aluminum base; nickel-plated, die-cast aluminum motor housing; detachable cordset; dust-sealed switch; and a clear, Lexan sub-base provide enhanced durability. Rubber overmolded handles and low center of gravity design provide best-in-class comfort, balance, and control. Part of an interchangeable router system of two motor packs and three bases: fixed, plunge, and D-Handle. Includes 1/2-inch and 1/4-inch one-piece, self-releasing collets, two wrenches, and a concentricity gauge to ensure bit to sub-base centering.
Great little router. DeWalt seems to give better than average quality for reasonable price. It is easy to adjust and has plenty of power for any of the bits that I use.
Great router! I wanted a second router so I could leave one set up for dovetails. This Dewalt router fits the bill. We actually use the same router at work (I work in a cabinet shop) for the same purpose. You can't go wrong with this router!
i just love this router , i have on my router table and its just great , not too loud , its very smooth and easy to work with !
Muy estable y resistente
Execelente equipo, de gran calidad en sus trabajos, justo lo que necesitas para trabajos que requieran potencia
The router is great! Easy to use, powerful. I’m not sure why everyone is skeptical of the collets. There is one collet that has a quarter inch insert, but once taken out (push from the back) in turns into a half inch collet. Everything you need is in the box.
To get five stars, you have to knock my socks off. I would say a decent router for the price. This one is my second. I bought it to use as a fixed router in a table rather than the hand-help type. My other B&D is fine for hand-held but wouldn't go in the router table I got (Bosch). This one went it well and works fairly well. Fairly well rather than great because it is a little hard to adjust the height easily. I'm not sure, other than a table lifter, that any others would be that much better either, but consider that. My B&D is a hard one to adjust the height on also, and it isn't fixed to a table. I do like the 1/2" capability. I have pulled it out of the table and used the hand-held option when I needed to use a 1/2" bit that I couldn't do on the table. My B&D is only 1/4". Never paid that much attention to that until then. It worked fine as a hand-held that time so no real gripes there. It does power through the material nicely. So far, walnut, cherry, oak, pine, all done well.3 year update- still working fine. About to use it again tomorrow. I don’t use it a great deal but it gets a fair workout.
FYI: Does not come with half inch collet. Only 1/4 inch. I have 3 of these. Work great based on cost and saves me switching bits.I keep them set up on dovetail fixture. Fits the full size D handle and plunge bases.

Works nice and smooth
I bought a slab-flattening jig and went to install one of my two routers. Neither lined up with the holes in the mounting plate. I know I'm a little eccentric, but I like to have multiple tools for specific jobs, so I wasn't happy about taking my router off of my router table to use with the flattening jig. I was also not happy about using my smaller router I use for making edges on smaller projects. So, I didn't adapt the mounting plate to install either of those routers. I bought a new one. This DeWalt was just-the-ticket to meet my needs. It mounted directly to the mounting plate. It has both, 1/4 inch and 1/2-inch collets so I can use any of my router bits. I have a couple different sizes of flattening bits with different shank sizes. Height adjustment is easy to use. The power switch is good. It's a good tool and I definitely recommend this.
As a router like any other power tool Dewalt is great; I am actively using table saw, router, drill etc... Satisfied about doing the job right. However do not suggest anyone to buy this one (Dewalt DW616) from UAE; it is 120V with US plug type - can not be used directly. Just for tool to work need to have convertor of least 2000W which costs additional 200-300 AED.
Excelente producto. Llegó en el tiempo estipulado. El precio fue el mejor que encontré por la marca y eltipo de producto.
