Swingline Cartridge Electric Stapler, 30 Sheet Capacity, Jam Free, includes 5000 Staple Cartridge, Black (69008)

I use this electric stapler for 2 and 1/2 years now in a busy pharmacy. I staple average about 250 times a day. This stapler is quiet and it does not hurt my ears as the other one the pharmacy has. In the beginning, I had trouble changing the cartridge. Now I can do it in about 1 min. I just follow the instruction and practise. About a year ago, this stapler was kind of stuck. My partner in the pharmacy said it might quit working soon. I sprayed it with WD-40 and let it dry overnight. It works like new again! I recommend this stapler to my friends in other pharmacies because using loud stapler 250 times a day could cause hearing lost in the long run.

At first I really liked this product. It stopped working today and I've tried everything to make it work with no luck.This was purchased to replace my previous Swingline 690 that worked perfectly for 10 years, but unfortunately, this one only lasted 4 months.**Update**Contacted Swingline and it was under warranty so they replaced it and all is well again!!!

Well right out of the box this stapler did not function properly. Did not dispense the staples and when it did it would jam up. I tried to load it a few times thinking I loaded it wrong but would still either jam or not staple. Gave it 2 stars because the shipping time was excellent and good customer service.

It did not work at all, broken and a total waste of money

This Swingline stapler uses a reel of staples. There are 5000 in a reel. Reloading is easy and fast. Replacement reels are available at most office supply stores. We tried a number of other electric staplers that use a solenoid to hammer the staples home. We found that they all jammed easily. This unit relies on a small electric motor and gears that seem to handle the task much better without the jamming problems.

I am disappointed in this product. I bought this back in September 2019, but didn't have a chance to open it up and use until now. It is my belief that this product was returned by someone else and sent to me. The staples that were provided look like they had already been used. I can see why someone would return it because it does not work. I have tried several times, used up some staples and it just will not work. I have watched videos, read how to load the staples and nothing works. I guess every once in a while you get a bad product. I blame myself for not reading the reviews on this product and doing a bit more research. I would never have purchased it.

Worked fine first day. Second day, stapled a few papers, and it stopped working. Made noises like it was trying to staple, and dark marks on the paper, but no staple. Did the clear process numerous times with no resolution of the problem.

This stapler was purchased for a busy retail store to staple receipts to order forms. It is used approximately 100 times a day. Unfortunately, it does not work half the time. Sometimes it will staple and sometimes we have to put it in 3-5 times for it to work. Sometimes it never works. It does not jam, it just won't staple. I would not recommend this stapler at all. What a waste of $140.

Product didn't work properly after only 6 weeks. Had to order another and this one was past the time limit for returns.

I followed the instructions to load and operate the stapler.. After two hours I gave up. I could not get it to staple even two sheets. It may work for others but item is too temperamental. I had a previous version of the same stapler and it worked for a long time. But it then quit working as well. Not sure if the staples jam or what but could cause it to not work. I could not get either one to work. Best guess for problem is faulty design. I would not recommend this product or vendor. The vendor does take the product back if defective.

I love this electric stapler! As you can see in the photo, I had an earlier version of the Zephyr, which I bought 27 years ago to use at work. The cartridge design has remained the same, so I didn't need to buy a new stapler just because the cartridge was no longer available. With 5000 staples in a cartridge, it lasts a LONG time compared to other types of staplers. Troubleshooting information and the Customer Service number are located on the stapler itself--very handy. I called when I first tried using my new stapler, because I couldn't install the cartridge. The agent explained that you have to push VERY HARD when you slide the cartridge into the stapler until it snaps. I would not have pushed that hard if the agent weren't on the phone directing me. I like the improvements that Swingline has made over the years, including adjustable trigger bar, thumbwheel, smaller size.
