Sharp and strong little hook. The eyelets are smooth, with no burs, and I don’t have any problems or issues when using this hook. I bury it in a Berkeley’s salmon egg and use a Carolina rig to send it to the bottom. The hook is light enough to float with the egg and doesn’t mess up the presentation.

These are my favorite hooks because of their size. For trout specifically it’s nice that the hooks are on the smaller size, especially if you use power eggs, powerbait, marshmallows, or floating trout worms. Each hook lasts me a long time and the only time I need to tie a new one on is if I get snagged on something.

Eyes of hooks 6,8,8’s not completely closed so when tying small diameter line it can pull through the small gap if you are not careful when you cinch down your knot. this flaw should be corrected by the manufacturer. The hooks are every sharp and hold up well

Cheap and dull. Sharpen with sand paper and they work fine.

About us

On a slow fishing day in the 1920’s, Drew McGill encountered a bird of prey that caused him to rethink the shape of the common fishhook. Now over 90 years later, Eagle Claw continues to carry on a legacy of integrity, honesty, and American heritage. From its humble beginnings, Eagle Claw has grown into one of the widely recognized brands in the fishing industry. Today Eagle Claw provides anglers with numerous choices of hooks and terminal tackle for an array of species, spanning both fresh and saltwater fishing.
