08-03-2026A five star product without question!I only gave a 4 start rating because Amazon has a *terrible habit* of reducing the price of things or presenting a less expensive offering of the same product *AFTER* I purchase something! Especially if I search for a popular item such as this and there's a lot of offerings. The lower priced ones are generally at the end of the search long before I get to them!Amazon does this CONSTANTLY and this one's no different. *It's $14.99 via another seller on Amazon here ->* https://www.amazon.com/Swingline-S7087819-Optima-Grip-Stapler-Swingline/dp/B00J8PPL2A -- verses the $18.99 + tax I was charged!That said, this is *a great stapler to save desk space* as it sits upright and not base-down length wise like 99% of desktop staplers, or if you just like the idea of being able to grab it quickly without futzing around trying to get a regular bulky stapler in position to staple things such as paperwork that needs to have flipable pages to read.It's so well made and worked so good as Swingline staplers are known to be and do, I purchased a second one to use at home! The two I purchased work flawlessly with the correct staples. Enjoy!

You can staple up to 25 sheets with this stapler.It is very good at stapling things!On a staple scape of 1 Staple to 10 Staples I will give this stapler a 10 staple rating!

08-03-2026Love this stapler! Have been using the Optima Grip staplers for well over 15 years and have one at both work and home. Have even switched many of my coworkers over to this style. Just acquired a new job, so I made sure to get another.It’s just the right size, fits perfectly into your palm and has a soft, comfortable ergonomic grip; feels like it was custom made for my hand. In my prior jobs, my stapler was used a great deal. Extremely durable; never had one break/jam on me.It has a small footprint and love that it can either lay flat or stand upright. I generally leave it in upright position b/c it’s a more efficient/natural reach. Both the bottom and the nose is rubberized so it has a soft/quiet landing when placing it on your desk. Also, when stapling, you don’t have to exert a lot of force. It staples with such ease and has a quiet/soft but yet powerful staple punch.

08-03-2026My favourite stapler. Replaced my previous one that finally stopped working after 10 years of constant use. It’s only jammed on me maybe 10 times that whole time which is awesome. Well made, uses only 1/2 strip of staples at a time. Worth the price.

08-03-2026About 7 years ago, my office's admin assistant ordered this for me when I simply requested "a stapler". I loved it immediately. I didn't know that all staplers were not created equally! It sits flat or standing up (nose down) ready to be grabbed. Incredibly ergonomic and can punch through some pretty thick stacks of paper! I've now been working remotely at a new job for the past year and OH HOW I'VE MISSED THIS STAPLER!!!! Nothing compares. I'm so happy to have found it again and for a good price. It now stands once more within hand's reach in my home office. In this new world of paperless remote work, it's surprising how often one still needs to staple something. The best stapler ever. I'm so glad I've found you again!
