08-03-2026I am going to take it to my amazon trip to fish for giant peacock bass. My most important advice is to not forget to replace the flimsy hardware this lure comes with - at least 3x strong treble hooks and more strong split rings.

08-03-2026Rebel makes a great lure for top water bass. Ugly bone Jumpin minnow is what I use and it's a great lure. Striped, big mouth and small love it.

08-03-2026The lure is exactly what I wanted and very excited to use it (which will only be in a few months, unfortunately). The rings were not too small as I wanted to change the treble hooks to single inline hooks, so changing the hooks was really simple and quick. Ps, nothing wrong with the treble hooks, it is just my preference to use singles (better for the fish).

08-03-2026I have been actively using this top-water lure for peacock fishing. Let me start by saying with a light action rod with a flexible tip you will get a fantastic "walk-the-dog" action and the peacock go absolutely crazy over it. My only complaint with this lure so far is the hooks. Ive found after landing a couple of peacocks ranging from 2 - 3lbs the hooks are beginning to bend outwards and i am having to reset the hooks to their original manufactured position which has now created a weak point in the hook. I will be swapping out these hooks for more durable ones. Overall fantastic top-water lure, just weak hooks.
