Why did you pick this product vs others?:Very tough and almost disappeared in the water. Great for clear water fishing. I fought a vicious 43" Northern Pike for 7 minutes using this line and boated one of the biggest fish in my life.
I tried spooling up an old Shimano spinning reel with this (12 lb. hi vis yellow). No matter how I position the spool, the line springs off the reel. Not sure if I can use it...Update: I tried again with a larger diameter spinning reel and an inexpensive line spooler, on the rod.I also used KVD line conditioner while spooling up. Made test casts in the street with a 1/2 oz. practiceweight. Much better results this time.
I don’t fish but my 14 year old grandson does and he says this line is the best!
Best reasonably priced line you will ever use. Goes onto a reel very nicely. The level-wind isn't a gimmick, it really spools well without twisting. I do not understand why all manufacturers don't spool this way.The line is supple for the weight rating which is way understated. Great abrasion resistance. Casts well, low stretch.I can't speak to spinning applications though I'm sure it would be good. I use it on lews baitcasters for bass in the CA Delta and line gets a workout there.GREAT LINE
Excellent fishing line. Very little spool memory. There is far less memory than my experience with other mono lines. Very strong. Caught 1300 fish in Canada and line never broke.
This is your standard mono filament line. Well i shouldn't say standard, its actually quite good. The line is strong, holds knots well, and doesn't have too much memory, although it does have memory. Line is nearly invisible in the water, and I haven't had any issues catching or keeping the fish on the line, so it works.PROS-Stronghold knots wellnearly invisiblespool is not a piece of junk and makes it easy to re-spool a reel.CONS-slight memory(comes with the mono-filament territory)
Love, love, love this stuff. Fished it for a couple months now. Its smooth, no memory, and cinches tight. I've been using the uni knot and tying on 12lbs clear fluorocarbon leader. Has held nicely. Will be buying more. Oh the that bright yellow really pops on the water, helps keep track of where my line is when trolling.
I like suffix line and this was a good price
