Personally, I enjoy adding a few shakes of the Plum Bitters to my water that I drink throughout the day. It makes staying hydrated less boring. Shipping was quick, too.
Loved as used in making cocktail. Xmassy spiced flavour
It doesn't really taste like plum to me I'm not sure what I would say it tastes like. It's sort of perfumey. And it's very strong. I use literally one drop mixed with other bitters to flavor my fizzy water when I want to change things up.
WHO KNEW? Splash a little plum bitters into your gin+tonic (or faux G+T) and elevate it to the next dimension. Everyone oohs and ahhs when I serve them this way. Do it! You'll be the one with ALL the cool secrets. Plenty of other ways to use it in a variety of cocktails/mocktails.
Riecht und schmeckt fast genau wie eines dieser Big Red Zimtkaugummis: süßlich scharf, sehr viel Zimt und das wars. Nicht schlecht, wenn man nichts Raffiniertes erwartet.
Never thought of plum bitters, but wow, what a fun addition to an old fashion.
Fall is my favorite season for winding down with a cozy cocktail after a long day of playdates and activities. I’ve tried various bitters over the years, but Fee Brothers Plum Cocktail Bitters - Aromatic (5 fl oz) has become my absolute favorite for autumn vibes. This family-owned brand (since 1864!) crafts a fruity blend of natural plum flavor with warm spices, reminiscent of British plum pudding – think ripe stone fruit, cinnamon, clove, and a hint of anise that screams harvest time. It’s gluten-free, vegan-friendly, kosher, and made with water, glycerine, natural plum and spice flavors – no artificial junk, just pure aromatic magic for elevating drinks. Why It’s My Fall EssentialWith the leaves changing and cooler evenings rolling in, I crave bitters that add depth without overpowering. Fee Brothers Plum fits perfectly – a few dashes (1-3 recommended) bring that sweet-tart plum essence and medium spice that pairs beautifully with whiskey, rum, or even mulled wine for seasonal sips. The 12% ABV keeps it potent but balanced, and the dropper bottle makes it easy to control portions. I’ve used it in everything from Old Fashioneds to hot toddies, and it transforms ordinary recipes into fall favorites. How I’ve Been Using It• Plum Manhattan Twist: In a classic Manhattan with rye whiskey, sweet vermouth, and a dash of these bitters – it adds a fruity, spiced layer that makes it “the most delicious Manhattan ever.” My husband and I sipped these by the fireplace, and it felt like a warm hug.• Fall Hot Toddy: Whiskey, hot water, honey, lemon, and 2 dashes of plum bitters for that plum pudding vibe – ideal for chilly nights after Montessori drop-off.• Mulled Wine or Sangria: A splash in red wine with spices elevates the fruitiness, making it a crowd-pleaser for fall gatherings.• Non-Alcoholic Option: Even for mocktails, a dash in soda water or ginger ale adds tummy-soothing complexity – great when I’m moderating for bedtime routines. The aroma hits you first: pungent plum and cinnamon that fills the kitchen like autumn baking. On the palate, it’s bittersweet with herbal spice, adding balance and complexity without overwhelming the base spirit. It’s versatile for fruit-based drinks like a Brandy Crusta or Japanese Old Fashioned with ginger syrup.[Photo Placeholder: Add a photo of a Plum Manhattan garnished with a cinnamon stick, or the bottle next to fall leaves.]Pros:• Rich, Seasonal Flavor: Plum and warm spices make it ideal for fall cocktails like toddies and Manhattans – an “Xmassy spiced flavor” that’s a crowd-pleaser.• High Quality and Ethical: Vegan, gluten-free, from a small business with 160+ years of expertise – supports family-owned craftsmanship.• Versatile and Long-Lasting: 5 oz bottle lasts forever (just a few drops needed); works in drinks, mocktails, or even food like plum pudding.• Great Value: Affordable for the quality, and it elevates everyday drinks to something special.• No Aftertaste Issues: Clean finish, no weird plum notes – just enhances complexity.Cons:• None for me! Though some note it’s sweeter due to glycerine base, which I love for fall’s cozy profile (perfect for non-bitter palates).Final ThoughtsFee Brothers Plum Cocktail Bitters are my ultimate fall pick – they capture the essence of the season with their plum-spice magic, turning simple cocktails into memorable treats. Whether you’re a home mixologist or just dipping your toes, this bottle belongs on your bar shelf. Five stars; it’s boosted my autumn happy hours and even inspired some NA versions for family time. Grab it for those crisp evenings!
My husband likes to have unusual mixers and drink items on hand. He thought these bitters were great and something you don't see everywhere. Would recommend.
Great addition to my cocktail. I named this one the Sugar Plum Fairy. They have a well rounded almost bubble yum bittersweet.
Have tried this in a G&T, has bit of a weird taste that doesn't really remind me of plums.
I'm not much of a drinker anymore, so I usually use these as non-alcoholic beverage mixes. I also find bitters and soda makes my tummy feel better. The flavors that Fee Brothers create are really amazing!
Super in der Nase und geschmacklich im Drinkeiner der besten Bitter
