I have purchased these several times. In the past the three boxes were packaged in one larger, recyclable box yet this time they were in a plastic bag as a set. Also, the flavor is really weird. I can’t tell if it’s the cakey part or the chocolate, but it’s really off. I won’t be ordering this brand again.

Love orange jam and this fits my pallet and tastes fantastic not sickly sweet which I like.

Grew up on these while living in London. Born and raised there and I love and miss all of my sweeties...My nan used to bring these over especially for me...shes gone now, so i have to get them from Amazon. But these begin to satisfy my cravings...now if i could only find fresh cream deserts...ooohwee...BTW...I've purchased this brand over and over again...if you want the real deal, do not try any other brand

Honestly, I am tied between 4 and 5 stars. I love it and just like it at the same time. The chocolate does not have much taste at all, I found it pretty hard to notice. It took a whole cake for me to get a better grasp of its flavor to a tiny degree, but it definitely leaves that dark chocolate after/during taste without the flavor. The Cake itself is not terrible, but its texture some people may not like. It is like holding a dish washing sponge and squeezing it, but imagine it more bread textured and without soap. The orange filling is the most noticeable part, it is a strong tangy flavor that really sets the flavor for the whole cake. It is like a gummy bear is mixed with jello in consistency. I say this because it is a little more solid than jello, but brakes apart really easy still unlike a gummy. You will mainly notice the orange, with a tiny bit of dark chocolate mixed in. You may notice a slight bit of a white cake taste as well. Interesting for sure, and probably something I will get regularly. At least worth a try for most.

Prodotto di buona qualità, anche perché è l'originale. Forse il cioccolato di copertura non è il massimo dato che in Italia siamo abituati a molto meglio. Vale la pena provarlo.

Completely stale, all 3 packs. So disappointing…the chocolate had white spots all over it and they were as hard as a rock.

I saw on the History Channel a segment "Welcome to the Factory" where each segment features a Tour of another Factory in Britain showing how different UK Products are manufactured. A month or so ago, a segment on McVities Jaffa Cakes Desert Treats. These are a huge seller throughout Europe as well as in England. A semi-soft delicious Cookie with a Jaffa Orange (real, not imitation flavored US style) topped with a delicious coating of Premium Chocolate. For those unaware, combining Orange with Chocolate is absolutely insanely delicious . Chocolate Covered Orange Peel Candies, Droste Orange and Chocolate Candy Apple pre-sliced in Wedges wrapped in foil, etc. They arrived in perfect condition from the UK, packed in Cellophane 10 to a pac, a Best Use by Date 2 months forward and near impossible to locate here in US other than perhaps a Speciality British Products Store. Like Mickey told his Brother regarding Life Cereal, "Try It, You`ll Like It". You will very likely be re-ordering, I assure you.Updated ReviewAfter contacting Seller the immediately responded and informed me that I incorrectly read the Best Use By Date. 03 08 24 was actually Aug 03 34 (not) Mar 08, 24! My apologies. I was credited the cost of the cakes an will now request to be re-billed.

These are the real deal. My approximation is good too. Uses only three things. Vanilla wafers, Orange marmalade, and hearseys dark chocolate bars. (1) cook marmalade down by about 1/4 then cool overnight so it becomes a thick jello texture. roll into slabs and cut to 1/2 inch by maybe 1/4 inch tinck squares or little cut rounds, I use a carrot cutter, Put the glob on the flat side of the vanilla wafer, warm up the hearshy's bars over boiling water in a bowl or pot then using a small spoon drop enough chocolate on the top of the orange stuff to cover the bottom of the product Try not to go over the edge. Put on rack or keep on the rack they were on and let cool. That's it. Not the real deal but not bad either, and you can use different chocolate and jelly flavour to spice things up. I like apple myself but we have used all citrus, most stone fruits and berries. And dark dark to white chocolate. The nice thing is that with the vanilla wafer you don't have to bake anything. They won't be like these though These remind me of England.

These are delicious! I picked up another brand of Jaffa Cakes at the local grocery store (not naming names, but it comes in an orange box) to try them out, along with some other UK snacks and candies. The Jaffa Cakes were my favorite and I decided I needed to have them in my life more often. I was comparing pricing and noticed the triple pack here was a really good price, so I asked a British friend which brand was best, and McVitie's was his answer. I took a chance on these, and I'm glad I did. It took 7 business days for the package to arrive (I'm in central NY state), which is far sooner than the expected delivery date. Speaking of dates, when I looked at the Best Before date, my brain procesed 05 09 15 as May, when it's really September, so if you think you've had some old cakes delivered, the month is the middle number, not the first one. I agree with my friend that McVitie's are better than the orange box brand. The cake is softer and the chocolate is more pronounced. The orange box kind has a slightly thicker cake, but it isn't as soft, and a thicker orange layer. I like the larger chocolate to orange ratio in McVitie's better, and with the softer cake, the whole experience is more satisfying. I'm going to (try to) pace myself, but even so, I can't see these two boxes of 36 each lasting long.
