08-03-2026At the beginning I found the rubber-banded sock cuffs tight and binding. But I have experience cutting my sock's cuffs to make them less binding. So I tried and cut the cuffs down to different heights, and finally with about an inch of cuff height, I found my comfortable cuff height. Now the sock cuffs provide enough hold without being binding.These socks are warm and comfy. Just right for the winter months. Now I like them very much!

They are nice and thick, super comfy, well sized (I’m shoe size 9) and not too tight on my legs but snug enough to stay up over leggings. They have held up well under several wash cycles and hold their shape while wearing. Liked them so much I ordered another 3-pack!

08-03-2026Gold toe is my go-to for thick, black, high socks. Great value. I buy these every 8-9 months or so because I REALLY beat them up! I wear all kinds of orthopedic braces and whatever, and these are perfect for what I need them for. Once I’ve given these socks enough abuse, I toss them and buy another set. They don’t slip, keep feet warm, and stay in place. Basic black color. Color holds for a while before it begins to fade.

08-03-2026I've bought Gold Toe socks before, and knew they held up like chain mail. After years, there are no holes in the toes, while I seem to go through other socks on a monthly basis. The only downside is they are really thick, heavy and not soft, so I tend to wear the cheaper, softer socks that wear out more quickly. Still, not having found any others that looked good, I ordered Gold Toe once again for the above reasons. Sadly, I couldn't even wear them. They felt so tight around the ankles! The others I have are snug, but not this tight. And I have super-skinny ankles. Maybe I'm too sensitive (I do hate clothing tags, scratchy fabric, etc.), but I wound up giving these to Goodwill. I gave them 3 stars because they are a good product, if you don't mind the tight feeling and less-than-soft material.

08-03-2026I was pleased with the quality of these athletic style socks. I needed something to wear with dark colored sneakers. These look good, stay up, cushion my feet, and wick well. Make sure you have room in your shoe for a thicker sock, because these have some substance.
