The 3M Half Facepiece Reusable Respirator 6000 Series helps provide protection against particulates and a wide variety of gases and vapors when used with approved cartridges and filters. When properly fitted and used with approved 3M cartridges and filters, this respirator can help provide protection at concentrations up to 10 times the Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL). The swept back design of the cartridges helps improve balance and visibility. Remarkably comfortable, soft, lightweight facepiece has easy-to-adjust head straps that allow for a customized fit to the user. Replaceable cartridges help reduce waste and costs over time. NIOSH, a Federal government regulatory agency, has tested and approved the 6000 Series Half Facepiece with certain 3M cartridges, filters and supplied air systems. The 6000 Series is NIOSH approved for negative-pressure air purifying and positive-pressure dual airline applications. This half facepiece respirator may be used with 3M Cartridge 6000 Series; 3M Filters 2000, 2200, 7000 or 5000 Series; or 3M Dual Airline Systems against a variety of gases, vapors, and particulate hazards according to NIOSH approvals. Some applications include: assembly and mechanical, chemical clean-up, chemical handling, chipping, chiseling, cleaning, furnace operations, grinding, laboratories, machining, masonry, painting, pouring/casting, sanding, sawing, welding, construction, general manufacturing, industrial maintenance, mining, etc. Breathing hazardous particles, gases and vapors can be harmful to your health. The 3M Half Facepiece Reusable Respirator 6000 Series helps reduce exposure to many contaminants.

Love this respirator, light weight, easy to use, no strong smell from plastic, great design for small face, very comfortable to wear, great quality and highly recommend
Muy buen artículo sin duda alguna, está hecho de muy buena calidad.
Worked well in without being too heavy, and accommodated my short beard without impairing the seal too badly. You will need to purchase two filters appropriate to whatever work you'll be doing with this mask, and the filters determine how much air flow you will be getting when you use this mask, and how much protection it can offer you- so I bought stock 3M filters and had a very good experience with this mask. I'd buy it again.
Fits extremely snug, easy to use, protects very well, and was very durable and comfortable.
I ordered this thing as just a general purpose filter mask because I don't/didn't have one and I do occasionally do things where having one would be a good thing. Like cleaning the coils under my refrigerator when they have so much dust it's unbelievable. I don't really want to breathe that crap and I could use a little cheapo facemask but they never fit right and the real cheap ones don't have a vent so the air gets stale and the dust still gets through and AHHHH!So this doesn't cost a lot. 8 bucks. I figured I'd give it a shot. What can you buy for 8 bucks these days? I was kind of annoyed that it doesn't come with any filters at all (have to order them separate) but again, 8 bucks. I'll end up spending more on filters for this than it cost. Those are pricey. Even for the basic ones. I don't understand why. Even the ones that have charcoal in them are not that complicated to manufacture so why the big price?Oh well. Anyway. I just got this yesterday and am still waiting on my "filters sold separately" which will not be here for days. I guess that's what you get when you go cheap. I was going to order the other one that supposedly comes with filters but some people said they didn't get the filters and I wasn't going to pay twice as much for the same basic product that's supposed to come with filters but sometimes doesn't.I think this will do the trick for my purposes. I'm not going to be doing anything super hardcore with it. Mostly just dust.I was obviously a bit concerned about the fit but that turned out not to be an issue really. Seems to fit well and is adjustable. It's a little uncomfortable but it's a mask that goes on your face and stays there with the help of elastic bands. Comfort is relative in that scenario. Like I cam imagine it would probably be unpleasant to wear this for a long time but I doubt you'd get much improvement in that area unless you spend A LOT more. I personally don't have the funds to experiment and see if one that costs ten times more is a little more comfortable.Anyway, I have tested it by putting it on and blocking the intake holes to see if it seals well around the silicone part that goes against your skin and it does. There is a little bit of air getting through somewhere but that's if I really push it. When you have filters on there, you're not going to be trying that hard to get the air in and the air is going to take the path of least resistance (like air does). A set of clean filters that are not completely clogged are going to be that path.I do wear glasses and it's a bit close but I can wear them with this on. The nose bridge area is just right there where if it came up any more it would be a problem. But it's probably about as good as you can expect on that for low cost.I mean, it's a little bit cheaply made but really not bad for what it costs. It will get the job done.
I'm a 5'2" 150lb female and the size small fits great! I tried the medium size first and it pressed hard against my cheekbones and became leaky around my nose when I smiled, so I just got the size small in today and it fits perfectly! The clips are hard to work with to adjust the straps, but with a good fit I won't need to adjust them often (if ever, after the initial adjustment). It's also notable that the medium mask smelled fine when I got it, but the small mask has a funky smell (like a rubbery smell?) but hopefully it'll dissipate soon once it airs out a bit. This is especially important for me because I have chemical hypersensitivities. Otherwise, it's very comfortable to wear this mask for hours (I've worn it for 8 hours straight no problem). The valves work great so that it doesn't get too hot/humid and my face doesn't get oily. I did purchase some silicone pads and attached them to the plastic of the head strap when I used the size medium for better comfort with long hours of use, but I might not even need them for the size small since it doesn't need to be as tight to seal well on my face. For other people with chemical sensitivities and/or lung issues who need an effective and easy-to-breath-through filter, I suggest pairing this respirator with the 3M Advanced Particulate Filter 2297 P100's. Of course it depends on what exposures you'll be around, but they have very low resistance and are supposed to help filter out organic fumes. Again, just a suggestion - do your research first.Medium vs Small don't look much different outwardly, but definitely fit differently. The medium is perfect for my 5'11" heavyset husband. The small is perfect for little 5'2" me.Pictures:Inside of the small respirator, medium respirator on (more grey, with my hair pulled back - you can see it pressing on my cheekbones), and small respirator on (more beige, with my hair down - much better fit! I can smile with it keeping a good seal! =D).Pros:Super affordable and good qualityFits great if you get the right sizeThe valves work fantastically!!Very comfortable for hoursCons:Clips for adjusting the straps are a bit annoyingWhistles when exhaling for some filters (like 3M 2297's)Might smell weird at first, but not necessarily
The 3M half-face respirator is one of the best I’ve used. The seal is tight and reliable, providing excellent protection, and the Quick Latch system makes it incredibly easy to take on and off without removing your headgear — a huge convenience during active work.I also appreciate that it doesn’t have a cheap plastic or chemical smell like some other masks. The build quality is top-notch, with soft, durable materials that hold up over time and comfortable straps that stay secure without digging into your face.Overall, this is a high-performance, comfortable respirator that I’d confidently purchase again for sanding, grinding, or painting tasks.
Works very well to keep vapors and particles out of your lungs. Get the right size to fit your face and the best filter for your particular job. No problems. Quality mask could save your health.
Its good1. If you need protection for long hours2. Its rubber-like material is easy to clean. Not sure if sterilizable. Nothing mentioned in the manual.3. Comfort is good as it takes head and neck support not ear4. Communicating in wearing this is a major problemCons1. Costly filter2.Not easy to clean / dry
good for keeping bad vapours/dust/pollen out of the air you breathe
