Bulova Men's Icon High Precision Quartz Chronograph Watch, Curved Mineral Crystal

It’s big and beautiful!

This is my first Bulova and have to say its a hefty timepiece, great details on the dial face, bezel and essentially, the entire watch. The bracelet is chunky, although detailed with a combination of brushed and polished finishes, with the Bulova logo, however I found it to be a little brash and ungainly. I promptly substituted it with a 24mm NATO strap natostrapco.com and now the watch looks proportional and easier on the wrist.This inner details of the watch face are spectacular; the carbon fiber is industrial, the "engraved" steel ring connecting all the hour markings and the blue/cobalt ring that only reflects when light shines on it. The crystal has a complex curve on it and this is the only watch I have seen that has such a curve on it. The outer ring on the face is raised and has the tachymeter markings as well. The non rotating bezel is polished and has black engraved markings such as diver 60 min markings; the side of the bezel is also textured and 4 hex screws holding everything together. The case is large and tall, with a dual brushed and polished steel finish. The 3 push buttons are polished and the screw down crown has an engraved Bulova logo, it is has an engraved angled gear patten for handling and is protected with crown guards on either side.Now down to the mechanics, in a word its fabulous. The stop watch in motion is absolutely gorgeous to look and the primary driving force behind the purchase of this watch. The smooth motion of the large second's hand is sublime and the added infinity symbol of the precisionist line is a nice touch. The transition from normal mode to the stopwatch function and back again is nice to see as it moves faster to move to the 12 o'clock position to zero the stop watch and then rushes to catch up to the current time once switching back from the stopwatch to the normal mode.Then there are the sub-dials; top most displaying two needle hands measuring 10th and 100th of a second, left one measuring the minutes, the right one measuring the hours and the bottom most the 1000th of a second, while the large second's hand, doing its thing measuring the seconds. The hour and minute's hands are hollow broad sword style hands, with luminous markings on the tips (luminous markings are on each hour marking as well, however that is one downside to this watch, not at all bright and frankly a bit poor, however not a deal breaker for me).This watch is great and a lot going for it, the size may deter a few people, but replacing the bracelet with a leather/Ballistics Nylon or NATO / ZULU strap changes the characteristics of the watch and reduces the acreage it occupies on your wrist. In is a good way, by reducing the BLING factor of this watch, not something that I was going for. It looks more understated and you will blind fewer pilots and thus make the skies a safer place... which is a real public service.SSSSSOOOOOO....UPs are...- Great watch- Awesome movement- Great detail and finishDOWNs are...- Brash bracelet (decided to replace it with a 24mm ballistics nylon NATO from natostrapco.com)- Large / heavy (may apply to individuals with slimmer wrists, but on my 7" wrist looks great once the bracelet was removed)- Luminous markings are not too bright (not a deal breaker at all)

This is a beautiful watch, although the band is a little tighter. It is a very bulky watch. I had thoughts of sending it back because of its weight and girth, but you get used to it after a while. I have huge hands so it looks fine on me, but someone with smaller hands it might look a little overwhelming. Not sure if it is worth the money yet as I just got it. Ill give an update later.

It’s a great watch. The four corners on the side are very sharp and need to get filed down. Can easily scratch any person that you come across.

Había leído los comentarios negativos de que el reloj era usado, porque la caja venía rayada o con marcas por dentro en la tapa y en efecto creo que el movimiento en la paquetería hace que la tapa en su interior llegue con rayones, pues el reloj no viene sujeto (cosa a mejorar); salvo a la almohadilla de base y quizás eso ocasiona que se mueva dentro de la caja y provoque los rayones en el interior de la tapa ; pero el reloj venía bien protegido con un plástico protector en el cristal de la esfera (caja) y en la parte inferior, con seguro de protección en la corona y en impecables condiciones (ver foto).Respecto al reloj Wow!!, bastante llamativo, muy preciso, fácil de configurar la hora, día y el cronómetro impresionante pues te da horas, minutos, segundos, décimas, centésimas y milésimas de segundo!! y llegó impecable en su apariencia y funcionamiento, cero defectos. Siempre había deseado adquirir un reloj Bulova y me inclinaba por el modelo Chronograph Curve; pero el excelente descuento en el precio del Bulova Precisionist, la capacidad y precisión de medir el tiempo hasta en milésimas de segundo y su llamativa apariencia me inclinaron a comprarlo y definitivamente no me arrepiento de haberlo hecho es un reloj que puedes usar en el día a día y llamará la atención; pero (salvo por su grosor) también podrías usarlo en una ocasión formal.

Very nice watch, overall great looking and very well made. The only problem with it, it’s difficult to tell time on at a glance the hands blend in with the rest of the dial. I have the grey one with the carbon fiber, and the hands blend in with it. Keeps perfect time. If you get one, try a different color. Either way you will enjoy it.

Watch is big, but not too big. Can be casual, but looks great with a suit too. The hands can be a bit tough to read in certain light but the watch all in all is very functional with a beefy strong band. I would definitely buy this watch again if it got lost or stolen.

A man's watch !Beautifully built. A stoic timepiece.The Stainless Steel band is a perfect compliment.The watch itself is something IN itself. Just an amazing piece.The sweeping second hand is an almost perpetual movement like a rolex.Very hard to distinguish a difference in movement.It looks great. A dress watch for some...but I'm a daily wearer. I'll wear a watch for years.I have no fear to put this watch through the paces of daily life. It is very rugged.I love it and I'm a hard person to please.As for weight...it may not be up everyones alley. This watch has weight to it and you should do the weight and size research before you buy.Again...A man's watch !There are great deals on this watch if you pay attention to sale days. With that said take the deals when you can, because it went up $100 the day after I purchased it.

Durch Zufall bin ich auf diese Uhrenmarke gestoßen. Nach ein paar Internetrecherchen musste ich mir diese Uhr beschaffen. Sie sieht einfach klasse aus und die Chronofunkiton zur Messung einer 1/1000 Sek. ist einfach toll. Besonders hat mich die "Wuchtigkeit" und die Farbkombination mit den gelb/weißen Uhrzeigern und dem schwarzen Ziffernblatt begeistert. Die Uhr ist groß und schwer und zieht alle Blicke auf sich ohne prollig zu wirken. Sie ist auffallend schön. Mir gefällt diese Uhr besonders gut und ich möchte sie in meiner kleinen Uhrensammlung nicht mehr missen.

This watch is fantastic! It looks amazing and it feels amazing on my wrist. It is heavy in a good way (It feels like it is a quality piece of craftsmanship). It looks and feels like whoever built it really cared about what they were doing. The glass is crystal clear and the size is really nice for someone like me who has bad vision. The band is super comfortable and also feels like good quality. I highly recommend this watch.It keeps perfect time which is another huge plus. I have other watches that I need to adjust by a minute or 2 every month. No need with this watch! I highly recommend this watch and I feel it is a good value for the price.
