Great little mount, nice fit and look, thick powder coated (not "botched, unevenly sprayed") white finish.. Thick gauge metal, everything is cast, no cheap "stamped/spot-welded sheet metal" anywhere, real sturdy feel; the place where the mount shaft screws into the base plate has deep nicely machined threads and feels solid and secure. Nothing feels cheap or flimsy like so many other models I've seen in stores, sometimes at twice the price! I also really appreciated the fact that, once the mounting plate is attached to the projector, and the base plate and shaft are secured to the ceiling, the mounting plate's "u-joint" simply slides into the shaft's "hooks" to then be effortlessly aligned and tightened, it really made installation a breeze. Took all of 10 minutes to get the whole thing sorted out. Didn't even need the instructions seeing how everything is well designed and straightforward.Comes with a whole assortment of mounting screws and washers, truly making it "universal".Very well though out, nice bit of kit. Would definitely buy again and recommend! Unbeatable value at this price.
I chose this mount for my Benq 3550 mainly because I needed the 8.6" (advertised) drop to match my screen without any keystone adjustment. I ended up with almost 9" once everything was attached. I did have to get different screws beyond what was supplied but I half expected that. My local hardware store had what was needed. The circle part of the mount had 4 (not 3) of the spiral slots which allowed me to mount the projector very close to its center of gravity. I still had to tilt the projector upwards slightly to achieve perfect perpendicular to the screen (no keystone), but the allen wrench style nuts allowed a good firm tightening without it being too tight to move a little by hand. The trick is always to allow some adjustment while it will still stay where you put it(since just the act of tightening can cause movement). So far I've had good luck and it's staying right where I aimed it. Since I have a screen, I obsessed to get the picture exactly in between the boarders (on all four sides) as large as the picture can possibly be. This mount allowed me (in my case) to do that again without any keystone.Your experience may vary but I think this is a good mount.
Update on 6/11/18: This thing had a good run for me, but it's time to say goodbye. I upgraded my projector over the weekend and, unfortunately, this mount won't fit the new, larger projector. I also dropped a star on the rating as my attempt to reach out to Amer to see about getting some new support arms/hardware did not go as well as I would have liked. The hardware is solid though, so if you have a small/decent sized projector and need a nice, affordable mount, you can't go wrong with this one. This thing is way better than any product should be for just over 20 bucks! Very sturdy, very easy to mount/install, great adjustable options and once you get it where you want it, you can lock it down tight like a drum and it's not going anywhere. I used this in an L shape (meaning I mounted it the wall and hang the projector down from there. I was very happy to see that I could mount my Optoma HD25e with no problems and it looks top quality all the way! Man, this is the projector mount I have been dreaming about...
I spent a lot of time looking around for a ceiling mount for my Nebula X1 projector. This one caught my eye because it seemed sturdy, was somewhat low profile and adjustable. They also offer extensions if needed. After installing, I was right. Installation was really easy if you're good with a drill. Instructions call for you drilling into a stud, but in order for my projector to be dead center, I needed to mount it through my dry wall/plaster ceiling (someone installed drywall over old plaster so I had two layers to drill through). For this I used toggle anchor bolts and this thing is snug to the ceiling. Only two mounting points, so very easy to line up. The adjustable arms were easy to install and allow for a lot of room for adjustment which is what I needed due to the weird rectangular shape of the X1.The part that mounts to the projector is separate and hooks onto the main mount attached to ceiling. Once its on, you have no need to worry about it going anywhere. It's also easy to take off if needed. I actually used M4 turn knob bolts to mount my projector. This way I can easily take my X1 off without a need for a screw driver. Adjustment was easy and this mount allows you 360 degree and 180 degree adjustment. Once you find your spot, just tighten the points down and you're good.Price is great for what you get. Feels sturdy, easy to install, easily adjustable and holds the projector like it's designed to do. Can't go wrong with this one.
This is a very high quality mount for the price. Installation was very easy because of how modular it is. You can install the base plate first, then simply screw on the actual mount base. Separately, you can install the projector mount on the projector and lift the whole thing into place on the hook before tightening the bolts. It was a very pleasant experience to install. The only complaint I had is that you really have to torque down on the bolts once you have it in place to keep it from easily moving. This is a downstairs projector, so I worry that too much vibration from the floor above could adjust the mount. I'll probably order some friction washers to help with this.
Fixation facileRéglable dans tous les angles.Au moins 25 cm de hauteur (hors projecteur)
Really solid piece of kit.I like the clear diagram with no instructions, but some may not.It was a little tricky to get the best positioning of the arms, but this was due the the projector only having 3 mounting points all near the front.Once together it is really solid and easy to adjustReally good value
Ottimo prodotto solido e verniciato bene consiglio
I ended up returning this because we needed a lower profile mount so it would be higher up. Had to install it on a vaulted ceiling to get as far back and high as possible for the desired screen size we wanted. This product was easy to install on the projector and very easy to mount to the wall.Product felt sturdy and easily holds the BenQ X3100i. Very nice design as you can take the projector off and put it back on with ease.
This mount is excellent, and I dont just say that as it is a very good price-I can't see how a much more expensive mount could be any better.I've used this for mounting to a wall and it offers a lot of flexibility. The 3 projector mounting arms and clever spiral means I could fit any sort of mounting configuration. It also offers some flexibility for pushing the project forward a bit if you dont have enough clearance between back of projector and wall.Comes with all the screws and fixings you'll need (and more) and is really sturdy once fixed in place and everything tightened up.Really happy with the quality and the price.
This ceiling projector mount is VERY versatile. I've tested it on 2 projectors with very different shape sizes. For both of them, I had to remove the rubber feet on the 4 corners below. After that, I'm able to screw the arms of the mount on. Depending on the size and shape, the circular design of the mount lets you adjust it to whichever side is needed. The hex bolts used for locking the positions are very strong and high quality. One of my favorite trait from this compared to some others, is that this one only needs 2 screws to be installed to the ceiling. This may not be an issue for others but I live in an apt with cement ceiling... it's always a pain to drill through walls, ceiling, floor... etc. it's exhausting, dusty, and just a waste of time, so I was glad I only had to drill 2 holes and not 4+.A quick attachment of the frame to the ceiling mount, tightening the bolts after getting the perfect angle positions, and done!!PS Unless you're 8 feet tall, please work with a partner if you can, safety first!!
