08-03-2026I bought these chocolates to use in some St. Patrick's Day gift baskets that I was making for a dinner party. The chocolates arrived too late, but Amazon gave them to me for free for the inconvenience. Since then, I gave the bags of chocolates to my nieces and nephews. I got to try a few of them. I found that the chocolate is better than the generic Palmer's chocolate coins, but only slightly better. It is a step up, but it still isn't high quality. The chocolate is smooth and silky, but not very rich. It kind of tastes more like frosting than chocolate, but it is a bit more rich in chocolate flavor than Palmers chocolate. The kids loved it though. After all, it is sugary. I don't think the chocolate, by itself, would be worth the asking price. The details on the chocolate coins are very good, however. The coins vary in sizes and designs, which is kind of nice. They certainly are fancier than the typical chocolate coin with that regard. Each one had a date on them, like coins do. Some were dated in the 1800s, which my relatives thought was pretty funny, stating that the chocolate was old. Overall, we got a kick out of them.
