Used this for venison snack sticks instead of the same old companies. People loved this one outve about 5 different choices.
I made pork sweet and spicy sticks and they taste good.
Never made jerky before use this as a nice starter kit to give me a variety of flavors. Was pleasantly surprised with the seasoning. Super easy to use. Made great jerky.
We just made five pounds of jerky using the really hot. We decided to smoke the jerky, I am going to say it was incredible. I usually buy it but you get less in volume rather than making it myself and it cost the same. Using the seasoning was straight forward. If this is your first time making jerky then buy this kit.
Tried this instead of my usual brand of BBQ jerky seasoning because you get enough to make 20lbs instead of the 15lbs from the other brand at the same price. While this tastes good, it’s very savory, it’s not good at tasting like BBQ. It’s got a Smokey flavor but mostly taste like onions and garlic. It’s a classic jerky taste but not BBQ in my opinion. The other brand has a flavor that taste almost identical, it’s called original recipe and features pictures of onions and garlic on the front. Good seasoning, misleading flavor.
Excellent product
Have only tried the sweet and spicy. I really like hot things so for me it wasn't spicy enough. I only used 4 pounds of meat wanting more flavor.. overall flavor was okay.

Each kit makes up to 20 pounds of jerky! This kit goes one step further by dividing the ingredients up into 5 lbs increments so the kit can be used for smaller batches.
Why are there multiple dates on the packaging?
Each item is produced with a "Born On" date (the date it was packaged). We date the outer package with the Expiration Date. Our DIY Kits have a 3 year shelf life from their born on date. After 3 years they are safe to use but may lose flavor.
I only have 2 pounds of meat, can I use the whole cure packet?
NO! Cure is portioned for precisely 5 pounds of meat. If you are using less than 5 pounds of meat, reduce the cure accordingly OR substitute table salt.
How long do I need to let the meat sit in the seasoning/cure mixture?
For traditional muscle jerky, we recommend 24-36 hours in the refrigerator, while turning every 8 to 12 hours. For ground and formed jerky; stuff and cook right away.
Can I add additional seasonings or spices to your kit?
Yes! Our kits are designed to be a well balanced flavor that will hit the middle of the flavor bell curve for “most” people. We always encourage our customers to season to taste, as everybody is different and has different tastes.
What if I want a stronger or more subtle flavor?
Seasoning rates can be adjusted infinitely - add more, or use less seasoning however you see fit! A rate chart is included in the detailed instructions.
