Hands down the best socks I've worn; EVER.They prevent the main thing I was looking for socks to prevent; clammy cold feet.My feet tend to sweat a bit (not a lot) and that usually leads to cold feet as water compromises the integrity of clothing when it comes to temperature. These socks will keep the feet at a balanced temperature (in my opinion) no matter the weather: Inside the office, outside in the cold, etc. I've yet to test them during the warmer climate due to it being winter* here in NY but I'm literally about to give away or dispose of my old socks and replace em all with these.Note: I was skeptical at first with the X temp tech but it actually does work. I'm very pleased.
It is hard to find something to say about socks. These socks are not any better than my normal everyday sock, and for the extra price I do not think they are worth it. This is part of the X-Temp line with "cooling" technology, being a hot natured person I jumped at the chance to try "cooling" clothing, so I bought multiple packs of the X-Temp socks and other items in the X-Temp line up and I can verify that the "cooling" technology doesn't cool any better than a normal pair of socks, underwear, or shirt. These socks are a bit different because on top of the foot, the material is thin, similar to a mesh, I suppose this is the "cooling" technology, but once you put your socked foot into a nice leather dress shoe you foot is going to get hot and the sock doesn't seem to do anything different than a normal sock does. I usually wear Gold Toe socks and if you don't know which pair you have on you will not be able to feel any difference. There is one big difference, and that is when you take the socks off, with Gold Toe socks, after the first wash or two, you will not longer have black sock material stuck all over your feet and toes, but it seems with these X-Temp Hanes socks, every time you wear them expect some sock fluff will be stuck to your feet or toes when you take them off. This isn't a major deal, but I honestly don't want to have to rub sock fluff off my feet every day when I can just wear a different brand and avoid it all together.
As advertised
My husband purchased these sock to use for work and while working out. I have gotten him a lot of socks throughout the years and he is very picky. He absolutely loves these socks. He said they are not really thick, which he likes. Because they are not so thick he can use them as dress socks for work. They have mesh panels on the top of the socks which seem thinner than the rest of the sock. I believe this is what helps provide the ventilation. He has had a lot of problems with his feet throughout the years getting hot and sweaty when working out and also when at work. His feet do tend to get hot and he loved the X-Temp technology that helps keep his feel dry and cool. He was actually surpised that it really works. The package came with five pairs of socks. He ordered the crew socks which go to the mid calf. He said the fit was great. He wears a size 8 show and sometimes the socks are too large for him but these fit perfect. He told me he is going to order another package because he loves them so much.
The socks look small in the package but fit well
I live in Texas and have been on a search literally for years for cooler socks since in general my feet get hot. Since I down 40hrs a week in a office, I even try and make sure the shoes I am wearing are 'cooler' to wear. I have tried high end running socks etc....none where any cooler than normal cotton socks. Long story short these definitely work for me! My simple test case, some shoes I have were warmer with my socks. After purchasing the Hanes those same shoes felt noticeably cooler....not by a huge margin but enough to make them definitely more comfortable. Sort of surprising. Regardless I bought another 5 pack, gray. It's all I wear now. They are very well made. I also use them to hike in. After all these years....these work for me!
Es un excelente calcetín. Se siente grueso, comfortable y creo que durará mas de lo normal. Al final de cuentas es una buena inversión.
I've been wearing these for many years. They provide nice cushioning. They don't last forever, but last long enough to deliver excellent value. And up to the day a hole appears and the sock is done, it holds its form and stays snug on the ankle.
I purchased these after having issues with my under armour socks being too tight on my calves. These fit perfectly and are comfortable. They are a little thinner than I expected, but they don't seem shoddy. They are comfortable, stay up, and seem just the right temperature.I wear them with tactical boots and stand for 8 hours on concrete. Comfort is important. They work. They don't have any fancy cushioning or support but I find them sufficiently comfortable, and definitely soft and would definitely buy again. They are not as long as my other socks (also some large) but I like the fit better. They are snug without being tight and hit at a better spot in my calf. The other ones (UA) are actually bigger in the foot but tighter; same goes for the tube part--longer but too tight.
I have a pack of basic Hanes crew socks purchased from Walmart and the fabric is thinner. If you're wanting the thinnest work socks. The heals wore out on those. I purchases these "cooling Hanes crew" to find that the bottom side and toe area were padded more. There is a compression band in the arch of the foot then above that is an area of lightweight mesh fabric. The mesh fabric is at the top of the foot between the arch band and the ankle. Not as it seemed in the add. However, they are the most comfortable and I'm happy with the upgrade.
My husband liked the way they fit and was going to order more for him but the price climbed to 25.00 per 5 pair but he didn't want me to pay that much.
These socks are American and always very good quality and a good fit
