Unique, Patented Floss Is Smooth, Strong And Shred Resistant Effectively Removes Tough Plaque Between Teeth Patented Tension Control Design
Great item, can't find these in the store anywhere anymore
Preloaded flossing picks are a godsend for one-handed persons (like my husband), and a floss-saving convenience for two-handed persons (like myself). However, flossing picks are not all alike, and these CREST GLIDE FLOSS PICKS are the only ones that are really effective and easy to use. Most preloaded flossing picks consist of an inch of floss strung across a simple bow-like handle (for example, Plackers gentle fine dental flossers - 90 Ea (Pack of 4)). When inserted between two teeth, the floss on this style pick will immediately sag and lose its tension. Thus you end up needing several to floss your entire mouth, because picks with loose floss are hard to insert. In contrast, the Crest Glide Floss Picks have a "squeezeable" handle that you can use to "retension" the floss as you floss your mouth. Although the floss stretches some when you insert the pick between two teeth, you can squeeze the floss pick handle to tighten the floss up again. Thus the floss picks are always easy to insert and use, and you only need one or two to do your mouth. This listing is for six (6) packages of 30 Floss Picks each (180 Floss Picks in all). For me, the price is reasonable, because my local drugstore does not carry the Glide Floss Picks--or any other brand of flossing pick that uses this style of handle.
BUYER BEWARE! I’ve been a huge fan of these floss picks ever since they were introduced 10 or 20 years ago. But the product has recently changed (I’m writing this in May 2025) and not for the better. When I was using the previous version of these picks, one would occasionally break (the floss, not the plastic), at a rate of maybe 1 to 3 out of a pack of 30. That wasn’t a bid deal for me. HOWEVER, this new version of the product is a disaster, at least for me. I note the packages now say “NEW CleanTech Floss - GLIDES 50% EASIER,” and I do agree with that, the floss does, indeed, glide easier. But at what cost? The floss on the new picks break often. VERY often. They break at the rate of 2 to 10 PER DAY (1 flossing session). My photo shows the SEVEN floss picks that broke while I was flossing my teeth this morning. Yesterday morning, 4 of them broke. The day before that, 9 of them broke. I’ve been using these newer picks since I got a 6-pack of them about a month ago, and it’s been crazy how easily they break. Previously, a pack of 30 would last about 27-28 days (due to a couple breaking). But now, using the new picks, I’ve gone through 20 picks in just 3 days (an average of 6.7 per day!). At that rate, it means a 30 qty pack of these floss picks now lasts only 4.5 days! That means the new version of these picks is ridiculously expensive. I use these newpicks exactly like I used the old ones. I’ve had no significant dental work that would affect the durability of the floss. It’s clear that these new floss picks, while they do glide better than the old ones, break at an alarming rate, making them way too expensive for the average consumer. Going forward, I need to find an alternative to this product, sadly.
This used to be my super fave floss as it glides smoothly on my tight areas esp on molars. Also, i love the ergonomic design as it is easier to use than any other regular floss picks that are not angled so i always buy this even though it’s more expensive. But now, the floss isn’t as slim as before coz it’s very difficult to floss my tight areas and it breaks many times. Quality has gone down, if this is the case they should lower the price or keep this price and bring back the good quality it had for many years! Im so disappointed!!! Now im in search for a really thin floss like this used to be. Will not be ordering again unless i hear that it’s gone back to its original quality
I first tried the pre-strung flossers when I started to strongly dislike the string floss that has to be wrapped so securely around one's fingers that one starts to see the blood in one's fingers constrict while using it!!! I tried floss picks from other companies and found either they don't work in my mouth, and/or their floss breaks and/or gets stuck in my teeth, both things I dislike intensely. I've tried the angle floss picks and they won't work in my mouth. I don't like flosses that are "too thick" and don't fit between my teeth or ones that are "too thin" and fray or split when moving them between my teeth. Suddenly while writing this review I'm starting to feel a bit like Golidlocks but the floss on these floss picks IS "just right". These picks are perfect for me. They're packaged well, the package opens easily and importantly ALSO closes back up easily and securely. For every 30 count, maybe for one or two, the floss will split and you'll abort the flossing process and reach for another, but in any given package, you can therefore expect that 28 or 29 picks will function perfectly. This is a much better performance than other floss picks from other companies whose products I've purchased, where I've discard 3 or 4 in a row looking for one that doesn't break.
