My point in sharing this with you, is from my first bite in the 1960’s, until this one, the quality, and taste are the same.This is the fruit cake for folks that aren’t crazy about fruit cake.Fresh, fruity, and delicious.Not the brick ‘o fruit cake we’re used to.Sorry Claxton.These babies are pricey compared to the grocery store versions, but the dollar value for dollar spent is excellent.

08-03-2026My mother received one of Collen Street Bakery's fruitcakes for a christmas gift. What a surprise from the usual fruitcakes of old. This one was flavorful, moist and delicious. I liked it so much and it was gone quickly I thought I would surprise my mother with another fruitcake. I ordered the identical cake and was very pleased when it arrived quickly. However, that is when the pleasure ended. The fruitcake I received was very dry, the nuts tasted awful and it seemed as if the cake was just plain stale. What a disappointment and it reminded me of fruitcakes of old. As you can see we all gave it a try just in case one of us was wrong but we all agreed. Very dry and almost stale. I think it will be awhile before we see an empty tin from this fruitcake.

08-03-2026I’ve enjoyed these over a number of years. Expensive but yummy, especially if you’re not a fan of traditional marzipan and royal icing. These cakes are packed with fruit and are very moist. The top quality tins are an added bonus for subsequent home bakes. Win, win!

08-03-2026This fruitcake is so yummy. I think it might be the honey that tops it off and brings all the flavors together. I read reviews stating that their cakes were dry and stale. Fortunately, I have never experienced these issues in the 3 cakes that I purchased in December of '23. If I were to get a cake not to my satisfaction, I would use the satisfaction guarantee that Collin St. Bakery offers. Inside the cake can there is a small pamphlet thanking the customer for their purchase AND informing them that if they are not completely satisfied, they can contact Amazon for a full refund or replacement. I just ordered my 4th cake and pray it is as good as the other 3, if not, I will contact Amazon for the full guarantee the seller offers their customers.
