Perfect watch for beginners who are looking into watch collecting at a young age and affordable. Size of the watch is medium, but shouldn’t matter much as the color rose gold and brown leather will appear more elegant and simplistic. As for battery life, it is a eco-drive, should last you a couple of years.
Overall a very nice watch for the price point I paid here on Amazon. The smaller dials will likely be harder to read quickly for anyone with eyesight problems, which was my only concern since I bought this as a gift for my father. He wears glasses and is able to view it fine, but as said it's not going to be quick glance to read it. To this end, we both like the watch a lot. It's comfortable, has a look you can dress up or down, and the Eco-drive is an added bonus.
I ordered this as a gift for my boyfriend. I was a bit doubtful that the watch quality might not be as great in person. Once delivered, the watch looked stunning with a good weight, but it was a bit thicker than the amazon images alluded to. However, this added face depth does not ruin the aesthetic at all! My boyfriend loves the watch very much and has been wearing it with almost any outfit compared to his other watches, as this watch is more flexible in wear, suiting casual urban looks, business casual looks, as well as more formal attire. The only qualm I have is that the dial for the date is very difficult to see, as other reviewers have noted. It's also a bit tricky to change as the watch we received does not quite change the date per the received instructions. He's given up trying to keep the date accurate after every 30 day month as the small font leaves this dial obsolete.
This is my 5th Eco-Drive model so it goes without saying that I am a big fan of the technology, the build quality and the accuracy of these Citizen timepieces. My collection includes one of the simplest up to one of the world time limited edition models. I was actually going to buy another Eco-Drive model when I chanced upon this on the amazon website. I took one day delivery and UPS came through. As for this particular model, honestly, it looks better in person as opposed to the website picture. The main dial is actually recessed into the case and, while this leads to a fairly thick case, the overall look is quite impressive, certainly conveying a value far beyond what it cost. The rose gold-tone finish is actually quite attractive and subtle as compared to some of the online pictures which tend to be "goldy".. The second and hour hands are luminous and the leather strap is of good quality. The only thing I would caution a prospective purchaser on is that this watch is on the larger size and heavier than some. You can check on the Citizen website to get a sense of its size (click on View Dimensions). All in all, a great watch at a great price. And my wife (who also has yet another Eco-Drive) really likes it too!!
This went waaaayyy beyond what I anticipated. The picture doesn't nearly describe the watch. Really nice. Sits well on the hand. Strong Nice leather too.Don't hesitate, fab deal.
The cover was torn. No warrant and instruction manual inside. Tag was torn and dirty. Watch was also dirty. Very bad experience overall.
If you're looking for quality, style and class, and a few unexpected compliments along the way, you will not go wrong with this choice. The Citizen brand speaks for itself. The style you choose is yours, but let me tell you, this watch IS really nice. It is without question the best watch I've owned, and the eco-drive is the way to go.If you're finally tired of looking at your cellphone to see the time, and you're looking for a respectable time piece, look no further than this one. You won't be disappointed!
I love Citizen Eco-Drives.Some points of this particular watch:Not small, not large, just the right size.Never buy a battery, light charges it.Not as accurate as I would expect out of quartz, I am picky about accuracy and I synchronize with Time.gov, it is a little bit fast, more so than many of my mechanical watches. The inset dial at six o’clock position is 24 hour, BUT it is not adjustable to a different time zone. It is useless. If you have a problem adding 12 to whatever hour it is to find military time, this dial does little to help you as it only has 4 numbers on it. Secondly, this dial should be adjustable to GMT or any other secondary time zone or else it just takes up space. All that being said, I’d buy it all over again. It’s a nice watch, not gaudy or over-complicated, it even survived a trip through the washing machine, leather band and all.
This is my fourth Citizen watch. I surely am pleased with the quality and design of the timepiece.
Watch feels stylish and unisex. Don't bother the title. Men and women can wear.
Tons of complements. Very comfortable weight. I didn’t wear it for a few weeks as I rotate through my watches and it was off 15 minutes. Make sure to wear regular to ensure the solar can charge. No issues since I’ve increased my wear rate.
It looks good and quality of material is good. But problem is that metal clasp is not well rounded and is actually pointy so it keep pricking wrist all the time. I could not wear it more than 30 mins. I tried for whole week but it caused irritation on my wrist because of that metal clasp. I compared with other watches I have and noticed that it should have been round on edges but it was not. After trying a week and having redness on my wrist.
While usually I aim to lean toward Swiss Made watches, I recently purchased a Citizen, for myself, because of the World Time feature (sets itself to your time zone, via Radio Control, syncing to the nearest Atomic Clock signal, wow!) which I wanted for travel, plus, at its price point, it was just loaded with features (my review of it is posted). I was HUGELY happy with it, so, when my brother was looking for a dressier watch, something simple but not boring, I looked again to Citizen, came across this one, and felt it would be right. He was absolutely thrilled! In person, this watch is stunning! The pictures give a hint of its elegance, but it really WOWS when you see it. It is a decent size, as well (not oversized at all, but not like some tiny dress watches) so it stands out and gets noticed. Beautiful real leather strap, easy to read hands and the "three dial" look has been cleverly used to show the day, date and 24 hour clock. Easily looks to be a watch far more expensive than the asking price here. The date is a bit small to read, packing 31 days around such a small dial, but the day is simple to see. Setting it was easy, although the instruction book didn't say how to do it. So, I just experimented, and found that the crown at position 1 sets the date dial, and then, at position 2, you have to rotate through all 24 hours to move the "day" dial forward. As an EcoDrive, it needs no battery, of course, charging itself with any light source. An exception watch, for a GREAT price, everything works brilliantly and it looks just incredibly beautiful.Personal rating:Function (does it do what it claims): 4 out of 5 stars (knocked off a star for the rather small date dial)Satisfaction (does it impress the owner): 5 out of 5 starsPrice (is it good value for money): 5 out of 5 starsTotal personal score, 14 out of 15 stars.Amazon score -- an easy five star rating.HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!
