Ive already used this around 10x. Its very sensitive even if you get bites from fish under 4 inches. I hooked and battled a fish roughly 2 feet long for around 1 minutes and this rod really held. Sadly the fish got away since my line broke but that's not the rod's fault. Will likely get a medium action rod next time. Very good product.

It's Ugly Stick, it's every bit as good as claimed. If you get one, it'll soon become one of your favorite rods. This one was a present for my wife. After using it for 1 day she said it beats the other rigs we have. Unlike others that complained about shipping, this came in a Long STURDY box and arrived quickly. It's a good price for a great product.

I purchased the 6'6" 1 piece Medium spinning rod with lure range from 1/4-5/8, but as all of these ugly sticks are made with the same guides, this unfortunately apply to all of their rods. I had this rod for 2 months before the tip and 3 guides were so heavily grooved from light weight 8lb monofilament fishing line that the line was frayed to the point that it could not hold a knot. I lost quite a few fish and lures before it got so bad that the line instantly snapped from the fraying from the sharply grooved guides when forming a knot.The extremely low quality stainless steel guides will absolutely not hold up to even occasional use. My wife fishes much less than I do, and hers (6ft 2 piece Medium) are showing grooves in 3 months and it will only be a couple more months before her guides are sharp enough to cut her line as well, and she has been using 8lb fluorocarbon line. This should absolutely not happen with even a basic low grade insert but Shakespeare Ugly stiks are using complete bottom of the barrel guides which can not hold up to even light use.After paying $27 to have my tip replaced (on a $43.00 rod...) the others were grooved to the point where again, the line was too frayed to not snap when forming a knot. Completely unimpressed and disappointed. Get a quality rod with quality inserts or you'll be spending more, not even in the long term, but the short term...The rod itself is still basically a flexible indestructible fiberglass rod, but with the guides being so soft and quick to groove, it doesn't matter how strong the rod is if your line frays the second it passes through.

Pifict rod for the job and good value for monny never let me down yet and had lots of fish on it

The product is great, which is why I ordered one directly from Ugly Stik for the same price. The problem is, there's an issue with the description causing a problem with order fulfillment. The item is supposed to be a one-piece, 7-foot medium-light Ugly Stik Elite spinning rod. After ordering and paying, though, it says it is a "two-piece" rod, which it is not. I tried to buy it via Amazon, but they had "problems" with the order and wound up refunding my money. So, I tried again, only for the same thing to happen. When I ordered it directly from Ugly Stik via its website for the same price, it clearly says "one-piece." So, that is how I resolved the matter -- by cutting out the middle man.

Recieved my order today and much to my surprise when opening - not just the one Ugly Stik I ordered but two! Thank you Amazon! They look great, can't wait to get them out in the water.

6’6” medium size. Amazing rod, no problems whatsoever. Casts great. Little bit on the softer side, but works great for average size bass and Mayan chiclid fishing. Hooked up with a huge needlenose gar, handled it great. Not the lightest rod, but well balanced with a Kastking royale legend 3000 reel and 12lb braid. Liked the red lacing just above the handle, great looking combo. Speaking of the handle, great quality cork. Used U40 cork sealant and holds up great.

By far the best pole I’ve ever owned. Very light weight and strong. Casting with ease and excellent distance. Very sturdy and stiff at base with excellent flexibility at tip. Excellent value for the price. Excellent for bass fishing, and bottom fishing.

I have it paired with a KastKing Sharky III spincast reel (3500 size), which might be slightly too big for this pole because the line brushes against the first eyelet too much, but doesn't prohibit good casts. Using braided 30lb test on it. Using it mostly for top water and light spinner baits.Cons: the top half will twist after a few casts so you have to keep re-seating it.Pros: Perfect for top water, small spinners, and worms. Has a great feel to it. Very light weight and strong. Definitely hits above it's weight class.

Caught some redfin and trout
