Great lightweight takes away frizz smooths strands in place
This potion should be put on before you use the blow dryer. If you have frizzy or curly hair that you like to style this is the best product to use. I use it with the leave in conditioner spray also made by it’s a 10 brand. I make sure I never run out of it. Highly recommend it.
Gives just enough moisture to tame frizz and smells nice. I would repurchase in the future.
I had never tried "It's a 10" products before, until my hair stylist used this in my hair. I figured it must be pretty good stuff because the salon doesn't even sell "It's a 10" products there, yet she was using it in my hair. So, I decided to order some for myself! I have used this to blow dry my hair and also for air-dried styles. It works great for both. It makes my hair really soft and tangle-free! I really recommend it as a leave in product, especially if you have longer hair and your ends tend to get a little dry. I use this when my hair is wet, and I use the "It's a 10 Miracle Dry Oil Spray" for when my hair is dry. I have become a really big fan of "It's a 10" products in the past couple of weeks! One thing I will say about the styling potion: When you first use it, be careful because the hole the product comes out of is bigger than you would think. I squirted waaaaay too much into my hand the first time I used it and didn't want to waste the product, so I put it all in my hair and my hair got really oily. So, be gentle when you squeeze the product out. If you have long hair, you really only need maybe a (small) marble sized amount.
Love it
For background, I have very thick, very coarse hair, close to 2 feet long, and I only get to wash it once a week. A few years ago it became impossible to brush and I started adding jojoba oil (Queen Helena; see my review there) to my shower routine, brushing it in thoroughly with a special wet brush and giving it a light rinse. But with the dry weather, moisture-sucking furnace, and a/c, it was still rough and hard to manage. Especially the bottom four or five inches, which naturally curls together and becomes a nearly solid wad of hair while air-drying. Brushing didn't help, and adding more jojoba during the week tended to make it too flat and oily. Then, a few weeks ago, after having a professional wash and trim and marveling at the results, I read an article about the need for product in air-drying as well. I'd tried a few things before, mostly gels and mousses, but they always left my hair sticky, crunchy, stiff, heavy, and just plain unpleasant. So I read a bunch of the reviews on Amazon and decided to try It's a 10. Boy howdy, is that the right name! The first time I was worried about overdoing it and making a heavy, oily mess that I'd have to wear for a whole week, and ended up undershooting. After washing, conditioning, adding jojoba, rinsing lightly, and applying Potion 10, my hair dried smooth and silky, and actually felt lighter than before. Two days later it was getting dry and coarse again so I brushed in a little more, repeating every two days. It was a little greasy by shower day, but not bad. Since then I've been using quite a bit more in the initial application, around a tablespoon combed through gradually with my fingers, focusing on the lower half, and it stays silky and brushable right up until the next shower. At this rate I anticipate a tube lasting for two months or so, but it's totally worth the price. After 42 years I finally have the hair I always wanted, all week long, with no additional maintenance.
I have never been one to use a lot of styling products on my hair but wanted to help reduce the frizz from humidity. This worked amazingly! Not greasy, smells good and left a slick look. Will buy again.
If I would say "It's an 8.5" rather than a 10, but I do like this cream well enough in conjunction with my heavy duty rinse-out conditioner. I have fine but thickish, straight hair that has been bleached and dyed for over a year to remove 15 years of black hair dye. I was looking for a detangler and something to fight the minor frizz and dryness resulting from my hair color adventures and while this isn't a miracle cure it detangles well, keeps my hair fairly smooth, and smells good. It cuts down my drying time a surprising amount. I found the suggested dime size is a little too much so I use a pea sized amount which doesn't make my hair greasy (it doesn't seem like much but after applying you can tell the difference). I wash my hair every other day and this does not make it look greasy the second day. For the price I may purchase this cream again if I don't find something more reparative in the meantime.
Great all in one hair product for smoothness, heath protection. It’s not too gave for fine/med hair.
Wonderful product.
