I throw my phone at my kids a lot so the screen is pretty shattered. So now whenever my kids are bad I make them repair my phone screen as a punishment. This works great!
Update: the seller reached out to me after this review and refunded the purchase as well as sent me a new kit! They didn’t even ask for a return of the old one. Very happy with the new product and for the great customer service!Old review: This could be a great toolkit. However, the one I received was clearly used before and returned, or otherwise just very poorly produced. The bag itself definitely had some wear, and some of the words on the tools had been rubbed off. Still worked to crack open my phone (though the suction cup also looked warped) though I’d appreciate my new item to actually look new.
It's a decent starter kit for electronics repairs. I used it to replace the hard drive in my iPod Classic. The edges of the plastic tools were a little dinged up by the end of my repair. Not sure how long they will last
I bought these because I had a "dead" iPhone Xs that was way out of warranty, and I wasn't about to pay the company over $130 for a screen replacement (Screens touch stopped working) So... With buying a new phone in mind, and being ok if I (no clue what I'm doing) break the Xs. I bought this teardown/repair kit and it came with all the right drivers to get the job done.NO the tools didn't kill the phone. my touch was dead.. but it was fun taking it apart, so anyone wanting to get into repair and teardown. This is a great set to start out with. Comes with tons of little tools that makes the job super fast and simple.
Vienen en una bolsita de tela lo más bonita y las piezas de buena calidad
Product set is okay. Not durable plastic on the separator pics. Understandably far form premium due to price. Comes with okay pouch.
suction cup does not work, which was my whole reason for buying THIS kit. don't waste your money, i'm sure any other kit, where they send you an ACTUAL REAL FUNCTIONING suction cup would be much better. i'm paying for it now!
This item came quicker than I expected and is just as described. The only issue is the plastic bag that it came in had a hole in the top and in the bottom. I am assuming it is from the tools penetrating through the plastic. This of course is no deal breaker. I just put clear tape over the holes. The instruments themselves are what counts. I haven't actually used them yet as I may have bitten off a bit more than I can chew. Since it was so easy adding memory to my desktop Windows Vista computer I thought I'd do the same with my HP Pavilion 15-b119wm which is why I made this purchase. Turns out I am procrastinating because according to the manual I will have to follow these steps to get to the RAM:"IMPORTANT: Make special note of each screw and screw lock size and location during removal and replacement. Before removing a memory module, follow these steps:1. Shut down the computer.2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.3. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outletand then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.4. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 30).5. Remove the keyboard (see Keyboard on page 31).6. Remove the top cover (see Top cover on page 35).7. Remove the hard drive (see Hard drive on page 39).8. Remove the USB board (see USB board on page 41).9. Remove the WLAN (see WLAN module on page 42).10. Remove the system board (see System board on page 45).To add or replace a memory module:1. Turn the system board upside down to access the memory module.2. Spread the retention clips (1) on each side of the memory module slot to release the memorymodule. (The memory module tilts up.)"I'm currently hoping to build up courage. I'm also thinking I should get a couple more items before I tackle this job. I just can't afford to mess up my laptop. I will know more about the tools themselves afterwards and I'll post an update. I thought it was a great price. I was surprised I received them so fast too.
