Hand-tearable polyethylene provides a clean removal from many surfaces.
sticky but easy to pry off with a screwdriver or knife! held really well as long as I wanted it to. stuck it to pieces of birch and walnut and it held really well.
Like most 3M products this tape performs as well as you would expect. The 2" width is the size we use most and helps secure small parts on to the CNC or other machines, and for making or adhering temporary jigs and fixtures. On the jobsite and around the house this is great as a third hand, or to locate or align 2 pieces prior to final assembly. This is strong and sticky, but doesn't usually leave a residue after it is removed. It removes easy enough when the time comes, but does get seemingly more difficult the longer it is left in place. This tears easy by hand, but of course you can cut it with a utility knife or scissors. a split back is the only improvement I could imagine to make separating the tape from the backer. It isn't cheap, so if you can afford to buy cases of this tape shop around
