3M Solus 1000 series protective eyewear features Scotchgard Anti-Fog lens coating which helps workers see clearly, longer – providing longer lasting fog resistance than traditional anti-fog coatings. When microscopic water droplets land on lenses without any type of coating, they bead up and form condensation and fog, obscuring your vision. Scotchgard Anti-fog Coating produces a reduced-contact angle, flattening the water beads into a thin, transparent film of water that allows light to pass through. The coating retains its effectiveness for at least 25 washings with water, allowing workers to wear their eyewear longer. The coating can be disinfected with diluted bleach soaking or alcohol wipes without losing its anti-fog performance. Washing with soap and water is considered a best practice and can enhance coating durability. These safety glasses have a low profile and are available in bold, modern colors for a personalized style. Based on 3M internal testing per EN168 test method when compared with traditional anti-fog coatings. Meets the High Impact Requirements of CSA Z94.3-2007 and the High Impact Requirements of ANSI Z87.1-2020.

08-03-2026If anyone in this world knows about safety glasses, it's me. I've gone through hundreds, possibly a thousand or more pair of safety eyewear in my 30 years of working in shipyards. 10 hours a day, 6 or 7 days a week. I'm a marine chemist, so I work in some harsh environments and tight spaces. I need eyewear that doesn't scratch, doesn't fog up, is comfortable on my nose, chemically-resistant, fits my fat head, and doesn't slip when I look down. I'm not going to lie and say these are the best eye pro I've ever worn, but these are the best I've worn at this price point. Sure, you can find cheap safety glasses, but do yourself a favor and spend a little more and get quality, name brand PPE. These are 3M, after all.

08-03-2026Just received these. The well enough made and definitely would provide safety protection. However, I get serious vision distortion. They’re just not clear. I had hoped to use them for playing pickleball, but I find that my vision is too blurry.

08-03-2026I love these glasses. These are my second pair. I work in the OR with a mask and have trouble with fogging with other brands. The scratch resistance works, and so does the antifog. The ear pieces clasp on and off, so if they are sat on they will come apart, not break. Comfortable ear pieces and clear lenses.

08-03-2026I am a squash player. Two people in a 21 ft x 32 ft room swinging racquets and hitting a moderately hard rubber ball at speeds near 100 mph. Eye protection is essential. (I know of people who have suffered eye injuries while not wearing goggles and far more who haven't because of wearing goggles.) My usual goggles have jumped to $40, so I've looked for less expensive ones. These consist of a single piece of polycarbonate supported by a frame of an unknown plastic. I've now worn them on the court about a dozen times. The wraparound design gives me great field of view, so following the ball is a lot easier than with goggles consisting of two separate lenses. They do not fog, partly because they are treated and partly because there is sufficient opening at the top and bottom of the goggles to let air pass through. Nonetheless, I rinse them after each match and then pat them dry. at least 90 % of the water runs off, and the rest is easily absorbed by a soft cloth. So far, I have no scratches. They are extremely lightweight and, combined with the wide field of view, I occasionally have to check to make sure I'm wearing them.The design is five-star. However, I've held off on the fifth star because so far (fortunately) I've had no opportunity to see how well they hold up to being hit by a ball or racquet, and this is why we wear them. This happens rarely, so at some point, I'll probably relent and upgrade this review to five stars.

08-03-2026Needed good, comfortable safety glasses and these were a good value and seemed to fit the bill well. Bought both the indoor/outdoor grey lenses and the indoor clear lenses. I'm very pleased with the build quality, the fit, and the breathability. Very much recommend them!
