Well, I am incredibly disappointed. The leather is top quality, and construction is spot on... but the proportions are insane. I have always worn medium to large, so figured this might be snug, but nope!Though clearly marked as a medium, the shoulders are about 4 inches too wide, and the sleeves are about 3 inches too long. Worse, the forearm from the elbow down, are so tight that wearing a sweater underneath isn't feasible. The stomach area is literally big enough to fit a soccer ball under without trouble. If you aren't outright obese, this will feel like you are wearing a maternity dress. Worst 'top brand' jacket I've ever bought. By far. Will never buy from them again.
The build quality is great -- heavy leather, heavy zippers. However the sizing and ordering of sizes is jacked up.I ordered a small based on the sizing chart and recieved a medium.. way too baggy, especially in the belly area. This is kind of surprising because I am 6'1 and 190 pounds but I do have a very slender build.. I guess I am dense? But I normally am able to wear mediums or larges in most tops. But based on the way the medium fit, I think the small will be good.I reordered a small and recieved a medium again.. I decided to try it on and the second medium fit much better than the first. However, it is still a little baggy in the armpit area, especially with the action back. I am reordering a small one more time so hopefully that works out for me.If you are wondering about the quality, it is great. However, you may need to order several times due to the individual sizes being way different than industry standard and even inconsistent when it's the same size. Keep that in mind if you are ordering this for a trip or something where you will need it before a certain dateEDIT: I got the small and it actually fits perfectly. I want to reiterate that I am 6'1 and 190 pounds and am a size small in this jacket. I normally wear a size large or sometimes medium in t-shirts or jackets depending on the manufacturer. In this jacket, size small is perfect with just a little extra room for airflow when it's warmer or for another layer when it's colder. I tried it on with a heavy, thick sweater underneath and I definitely feel snug but not skin tight. If I was going to stack multiple layers it wouldn't work but if it's too cold for a leather jacket, thermal liner and thick sweater then I'm not riding.I would definitely say order down at least a size from what you normally wear, this thing is definitely sized with big bikers in mind
I waited to write this review until after I had a couple hundred miles on the jacket,I live in Surprise Arizona and currently the weather around here is upwards of a hundred degrees everyday, this jacket still a is able to perform comparably to any mesh jacket I've ridden in once I opened up the front and rear vents. I specifically enjoy the style and how the weather is extra supple near the wrist making it easy for all sizes of gloves to get put on quickly. the fit and finish of this product is absolutely amazing and the zippers are super easy to use even with my thick retro gloves. The leather is supple enough with pre-curved arms that is very comfortable to wear but heavy and thick enough as to not flap around with it half unzipped. all in all it was a great by surviving well in the Arizona weather even on my old air cooled Harley
I really like this jacket!I’ve been riding motorcycles for 45 years now and have owned a lot of different leathers. As good or better than anything I’ve owned with the possible exception of a Hein Gericke I bought in 1992. I have now owned this jacket about 5 months and have ridden in temperatures from 35F-100F in sun, rain and even one brief hail storm. I wanted to get some miles (about 5000) on it before writing a review. The first thing you notice about this jacket is the weight: it is heavy! That is probably my only real complaint is the overall weight. But for all that weight the leather is very supple and pliable. I never feel restricted in this jacket and there is plenty of movement in the shoulders to allow easy reach of the handlebars. The exterior zippers are all heavy weight brass YKK, not plastic as one reviewer claimed. The snaps a solid metal with a good grip; too good in some instances as I had to use a thin screwdriver to get a couple of them to open the first time. The interior zippers (insulated liner and patch access) are of plastic but I don’t really want brass zippers rubbing on my back, anyway. The front utility pockets are really cool. I have not been able to find a picture of them anywhere so I’ve attached a couple. Basically the long zippers you see in the photos open to access the vents and conceal another full length zipper. Behind this is a full length pocket with 2 (left side) or 3 (right) ditty pockets. Storage for glasses, snacks, phone, or about anything else. Pop open the snap flap and the whole pocket falls open for full access, leave snapped for secure access. The inside 'concealed carry' pockets are easily big enough to hold my riding gloves or a phone. The ventilation system doesn’t work very well, at least not for 90F+ days. With the liner in I was comfortable riding <40F but so far those hops haven’t been over 30 minutes.I heartily recommend this jacket and would buy it again, especially when the pricing is <$200.
I really like the jacket. The leather is heavy and appears to be durable (I already snagged it on a metal fence without it tearing). I like al of the pockets and it is warmer than my other leather jackets. There are a few things I don't like. The sleeves are long for the size which is annoying. That would be fine if the cuff zippers stayed zipped. There is no zipper lock on them and they keep opening up.Apparently there are two models very similar. Mine has hidden zippers and I really like the way it looks. I've been shopping for a smaller size (hoping the sleeves are shorter) and all I have found are exposed zippers.
I am 6'4" and 205lbs. The XL fit amazingly well. I have a Large Tall in the same jacket (black) and the XL fit almost the same way. Very happy as they do not make the brown in LT. Thick leather, comfortable, heavy, and very stylish. The price was shockingly inexpensive. I know I will own this jacket for life. Looking forward to my first ride wearing it!
We purchased this jacket for our son, as we ride motorcycles together. On his second trip wearing the jackets this fall, one of his buttons broke. When we stopped to get a drink and take a short break, our son removed his jacket, in the process one of the buttons unattached from its mounting location. This shouldn't have happened in just short ownership.
