Back in late 2022, when most of us were stuck at home, I bought my first pair of pants. Out of the four I got, only one has stood the test of time (Charcoal Heather). My first pair taught me about the durable fabric, French Terry. I probably wore it before without knowing, but these pants are super comfortable, soft on the skin, and lightweight. I’m in my “crone” stage of life, and certain types of elastic on the waist can be really uncomfortable. The fit on me is mid-rise, and these have a wide, loose, non-constricting elastic waist with a drawstring, and they’re perfect! I love the pockets and there’s no annoying tag in the back. They’re made of cotton, so expect a little shrinkage/fading if you put them in the dryer. To help with that, I let the pants air dry instead of putting them in the dryer. Try a pair and see how they wear for you!

I purchased the Hane's women's French terry pant in size Medium, colour Navy. The material is quite thin, which is okay but not warm enough for winter in Canada. That's fine. The sizing is off in my opinion. I ordered medium, and to give you some idea - my waist is around 28" and my hips 39". I am swimming in the medium. Luckily, there is a drawstring that I can tighten. Also the material sags after a day of wearing and they collect a lot of lint. But super comfortable! I recently injured my knee and I can roll them up to ice my knee. They do look very nice. Hopefully they will shrink in the dryer with time.Later on I purchased the grey track pants and like the navy, they're also a bit larger than expected. The material is not very soft, but they pants look quite nice. The navy did shrink with time in the dryer, so I expect the grey ones to do the same.

I love these comfy relaxed pants. I have four pairs. To prevent shrinking, follow these instructions:1). Wash in COLD water on GENTLE cycle.2) Dry on GENTLE cycle.I usually hang these by the waist over night. Then put them in the dryer on gentle cycle.Following these instructions, they never shrink! NO SHRINKAGE

My waist is 35”, hips 40”. There are two size charts with this product. In the drop down box by the size selection, “Women's Pants Size Chart”, I fit in a L for the waist and M for the hips. But in the “Hanes Find Your Perfect Fit” table further down in the description, it would be a 2XL for the waist and L for the hips. As I had to return a M for a L in another pair of pants I bought (not Hanes), I decided on the Large in these as I can take roomier hips but not tight waists. Mistake! They were humongous in the waist. I exchanged for a Medium and they are good with some room for shrinkage in washing. Very comfortable material. I am 5’0” so they are way too long. I made a 1” hem and inserted an elastic. My only gripe – pic shows the pants inside-out. The right pocket is 2” shorter than the left. It feels and looks weird; won’t be putting both hands in pockets at the same time. UPDATE June 16, 2021 - Wore the pants for a full day, extremely comfortable BUT they are a cat fur and lint magnet.

These pants fit so awesome, they are lightweight, comfortable and long enough for me at 5'8". I immediately ordered another pair in black. I'm not sure how they are going to wash yet. But I really like them. They aren't really like sweatpants, they do have a tie waist with pockets as well. My weight fluctuates a lot so I was looking for pants that weren't jeans or sweats either and these are right in the middle. I am on a weight loss injection until I get knee replacements in both legs and I can actually walk and lose weight on my own. If I wear a shirt long enough to cover the tie waist, they actually just look like straight leg black knit pants. I will continue to buy them as I lose weight, just have to go down a size at a time. You can wear these with a hooded sweatshirt and sneakers or with a cute lil tank and sandals. For me they are Perfection. I've read though that each different color pant, they are a different length than stated in the size guide so I would be careful of this if you are tall. I do know that the black is long enough for me at 5'8".

I have had many Hanes products in my house over the decades & I trust them to have quality products at great prices every time. I like these pants a lot, the only thing I would change is to add elastic at the waist with the drawstring. I will add elastic into the band myself, but not everyone has sewing skills or knows how to do it. I personally prefer both elastic & drawstring if the drawstring is a feature because once you have curves, drawstrings don't always keep the pants up.Otherwise, they fit nicely, they are lightweight & I bought black as it's more versatile than colors. I got many years (some for decades+) of use out of my previous pairs of Hanes pants, so I expect that this pair will have similar durability & longevity). The secret to get decades out of your knit pants is to put in new elastic once the old elastic gives up proper laundering. I wash clothes inside out without liquid fabric softener (I use white vinegar or laundry sanitizer instead), warm wash water (I am in northeastern Minnesota & have hard water - our cold water is quite frigidly cold most of the year) & I hang clothes up to dry & give them a quick air fluff with wool dryer balls once dry. I have clothesline runs in my basement- the heat dries them most of the year & the dehumidifier or open windows dry them in warmer months.

They have a flat waistband which is a big plus for me, and means they fit well and skim the hips with no excess fabric bunching. They have a drawstring which is necessary because they are hip level, not high waisted. The material is a bit rough but OK to wear. The legs are too long and I had to shorten them (I am 5ft 3ins). All in all I haven't stopped wearing them - very comfy.

I have tried several different casual pants. These fit as expected, sit below the waist on the hips, and have tapered legs. I have a difficult time finding pants that are long enough, and these are precisely the inseam stated in the description. I waited until I had washed them a couple of times before writing my review. They look and feel the same after washing and are soft with no wrinkles. They didn't draw up in the dryer. I ordered the black one and love the soft fabric in the black pair. The quality is excellent—a great find for the price. I am 5'1 and weigh 103 lbs. They are true to size.

I got three pairs of these pants during the Covid years. Stretchy comfort for lounging at home. Just a hint of extra thickness for when the thermostat is turned down. Sharp enough I could take the dog on a walk without looking like I'd forgotten to change out of my pajamas. Pockets deep enough to hold my car keys. Great stuff. Then I couldn't buy them anymore, and I was sad. In 2025 I was happy to see them for sale again. And...I'm still sad. The pair I got was not like the original. The sizing, cut, and construction has changed. The originals had a row of interlock stitching along the waistband to hold the elastic in place and keep the waistband from rolling. The new model does not.The waistband on the new pair is about two inches longer than the waistband on the originals. I need to keep the drawcord tied to ensure the pants don't slide off my hips. The thighs are cut slightly narrower, so the pants cling to my legs like bootcut jeans. This increases the tendency of the pants to slide off my hips. I also detest the feel of clingy pants. The legs feel slightly longer than the original. The originals were perfect for my 30" inseam: long enough to hit the top of my shoe, but not so long they dragged on the floor when I was barefoot. These do brush the floor if I'm barefoot, especially when I've just gotten out of a chair and they are doing their slidey-down routine. They are wearable. The pockets are still great. (Use that drawstring! Pocket weight + waistband issue = slidey-down potential.) They just aren't the pants I loved. Maybe the new cut works better for someone with slightly different preferences and body type than mine.
