PR200 Cell Phone Call Recording Device, Bluetooth Enabled, iPhone and Android Mobile Recorder

In the business I'm in, I do a lot of recorded statements (always done with the permission of the person being recorded). In fact, over the last 20 years, I have done thousands of recorded statements.Doing recorded statements over the phone used to require a landline or VOIP phone that one would attach a a device to the phone handset and the voice recorder.That said (or written), I, and colleagues in the same business, have been looking for a way to be able to obtain recorded statements over a cell phone since pretty much all cell phones do not allow the phone to record a call. The reason for the search is because a lot of the people we are trying to take a statement from do not get back to us right away and the subject may call while we are in the field and we only have our cell phone available. When this occurs, it may be the only time we will be able to take the statement.This product is a godsend and invaluable.The instructions are easy to understand and the product is easy to use.The sound is incredible. The microphone is also incredible. The person on the other end can be clearly heard and the person on the other end can clearly hear the caller.The USB aspect of the product makes the recordings easily transferable to a computer.Recordings are easily deleted from the product or from the computer when the product is attached.One thing that is not covered in the descriptions of the product, or the instructions is that you can actually switch from a normal cell phone call to the recording device. This is done by turning on the blue tooth of the cell phone while the call is going on. Since the recording device has already been paired to the phone, the recording device will automatically engage and start recording. I was experimenting and found this to be unbelievably useful and ridiculously cool.One of the other great features is that you can use the product as a regular recording device for in person statements, meetings, etc. So there is no reason to carry 2 recording devices everywhere.It should be noted that I read all of the reviews for this product and the negative ones seem to all be related to operator error, or a misunderstanding of technology.There is nothing I don't like. This product is absolutely fantastic.

This product probably isn't worth 5 stars, however I am grading on a curve because the other options I tried for phone call recording are even worse.  I needed to record phone calls in one-party consent jurisdictions without informing the other party, which I couldn't do without purchasing some kind of device, because built-in recording on smartphones force you to notify the other party when recording, which is dumb, because they could just provide a disclaimer and let you decide whether it's legal in your jurisdiction to record without notification.  I started out with the Mobvoi TicNote AI which produces low quality recordings.  After switching to this device, I get much clearer recordings.  I returned the Mobvoi TicNote AI.  This device can be finicky and difficult to use.  Sometimes I mistakenly put the switch on "Voice" instead of "Mobile" which means the call doesn't get recorded.  But, overall, this is the best option I have tried.

El dispositivo funciona correctamente y graba las llamadas con una buena calidad. El audio es claro de ambos lados de la llamada, pero tiene un fallo que me parece fatal.Se conecta por Bluetooth a tu celular y con su bocina integrada realizas la llamada, pero la grabadora tiene la forma de un lápiz y es incomodo sujetarlo por varios minutos seguidos. Debería de poderse conectar otros audífonos porque sí es cansado en llamadas largas estar usando la grabadora.Conclusión, funciona bien, pero no puedes usar audífonos manos libres para las llamadas.

Totalmente recomendable,compré este producto por un tema legal y volvería a comprarlo sin pensarlo.Para grabar las llamadas hay que hablar por el dispositivo,te lo colocas como si fuese el teléfono y la conversación se escucha perfectamente.Si estás esperando una llamada basta con tener el dispositivo encendido y con el bluetooth conectado,cuando te llamen basta con dar al botón de coger llamada y listo.Lo mejor es que la persona con la que hablas no notará nada extraño en la llamada.La calidad de las grabaciones es muy buena,incluso se entiende cuando hablan un poco apartados del teléfono.Yo compré el de poca capacidad y puede almacenar muchas horas de llamadas.La batería dura casi todo el día,supongo que dependerá de cuánto uso le des,yo lo necesitaba para una hora en concreto,pero lo cargaba por la noche y podía estar todo el día fuera de casa sin necesidad de volver a cargarlo.

Four Stars!There is a horrible lack of methods or products for recording cellphone calls, at least on Android.I had reached a point where the need to do so had become critical.Fortunately, this product is the best solution I have found.The audio quality is good (128Kbps quality), with the remote send a bit higher volume than the call originating side.The only issue when using the product for a voice call there is a small 2-second delay echo of the audio spoken on the originating audio. This can be heard by the caller and this echo is captured on the recording. Because the echo is of a much lower amplitude than the primary audio, it is easy to disregard it but it can still be heard.The paper documentation that comes with it is about sufficient but the English is broken and poor. It takes some creative reading to figure out what the writer intended.
