NOTE: This is a STYLING Brush. NOT a detangling brush. I have the Curl Keeper for detangling. This brush will rip out your hair if you use it for detangling. Hair should already be tangle free prior to using this brush for styling/definition of curls.I always thought I was 2c maybe some 3a curls, but with this brush I realized I also have 3b curls!!Started using this brush by styling every clump around my head now I just brush through most of my head and they curl on their own! Then I just need to define a few clumps to finish it off... Seriously magical.Pros:Weight feels great in handRemovable rows to adjust clumping/styleRubber base, plastic handleStrong nylon bristlesCons.Plastic handle gets very slippery with all the water and styling products on my hand and hairTIPS:-keep a towel nearby to wipe your hands and the brush handle for better grip (it's got some weight to it so you don't want to drop it on your toe!)-detangle with a different brush prior to styling-try to avoid your scalp: the bristles are sturdy so for sensitive scalps it might not feel great...again... This is for styling, it doesn't need to touch your scalp.- I used a plier to get started on removing rows because it was really stuck in the rubber, but be VERY careful to not rip it out or you might break the row. I think after using it, it gets easier to take them out with your fingers so you don't need pliers. ALSO I only remove rows from a clean, dry brush.- I always rinse off the product and stand the brush topside down so water doesn't pool inside. I would probably take out the rubber part for a deeper clean once a month to avoid product & hair buildup in the brush (which could also affect styling)- if you have never brush styled your curls (ie. Maybe you only scrunch) it takes time to find what works for you and your curls (watch vids on YouTube for styling tips cuz everyone's curls are different)- don't buy the "De*man" brand ...save your money!! this thing is magical!!

These are the kind of bristles I like and the whole thing can come apart for cleaning. There is the option to remove some rows of bristles, though now that I have it, I don't think I need that option.The brush weighs considerably more than the brush it replaced. Not a problem but it was a surprise. The rubber base for the bristles is most of the weight.The handle is on the thin side and if I ever wreck the brush, it will be by breaking the handle. The lightweight handle also makes the entire brush unbalanced - a minor annoyance. The prominent logo is another minor annoyance to me.At this price it's hard to complain. So in the end this is useful, and if you like this style of brush with nylon pins and rubber base, I guess this price is a bargain, considering I don't see this style in most stores (and the available Denman brush costs around 2x as much). Still I wish the handle were sturdier. And if I had my way it would be available with a mock tortoiseshell color.

This is my second purchase of the Diane brush, my first was on 2/2023, and I must say it's the best brush I've ever owned.I'm a male with very long, mostly straight, hair reaching down to my waist, and this is the only brush I've ever been able to run through it from top to bottom. Of course after washing or being out in the wind it takes some detangling, but this brush makes that much easier as well.And wow, it's also the only brush I've ever been able to thoroughly clean. You just push the orange rubber forward (it takes a bit of effort, but you wouldn't want it coming out accidentally), and then you can completely remove the bristles and clean everything.The only drawback to it is that, at least with my first brush, the orange rubber began getting a bit mushy and sticky after a few years, and after thoroughly washing it a few times I finally realized that the rubber appeared to be kind of melting in an odd way.But as I said this is my second purchase, and I'm not to concerned about the rubber issue as I suspect it was a temporary manufacturing problem. But even if not, the price and performance of the brush make it a value even if I buy one every few years.

I loved this product! The Denman crush was very expensive for me so I was looking for cheaper but good alternatives and this one is amazing!

Perfect for defining curls and detangle without painI loved this 9-row brush from Diane from the first use. It detangs wet hair very easily, without pulling or breaking the hair, and that for those of us who have curls is a total relief. The bristles are firm but soft, which helps to define the curls super beautiful when combing and applying cream.I also like that it is heat resistant and very easy to clean. The quality of the material feels good, the handle is comfortable and does not slip. It really leaves the hair more uniform, defined and frizz-free.If you have curly or wavy hair and want a brush to style, define or separate the curls, this is an excellent option. It's totally worth it.
