REED Men’s Luxury Leather Bomber Jacket – Genuine Leather American Style with Broad Shoulder Fit

This is one of two REED leather jackets that I purchased from Amazon. The "American Style Bomber",(ASIN:B00KMS9CX6), and The "New Zealand Lambskin",(ASIN:B00KMSD066).The Bomber jacket was made of nice quality top grain leather with a textured look and grain. The New Zealand was made of genuine lambskin leather, much softer and smoother than the other, giving it an overall sharper look. It could be worn with nicer business wear and not be seen as out of place whereas the Bomber's texture looks more casual.The stitching on both was great. The 3 pockets were nice and deep. The lining does not button or attach to the inside pocket, so one must be careful when using it so that the item is indeed going into the pocket and not just the slit in the liner where it will fall to the ground. I'm going to use small binder clips to alleviate that problem. Another inside pocket on the right would have been nice.I am 5'8", 155 lbs, 32" Waist and found that size Medium was a little too roomy for me. The waistband rested on my butt, even when it was zipped up. I ordered a Small in the Lambskin and it fits perfectly.PROS: Both nice leather, Quality workmanship, Good price, Amazon returnsCONS: Both made in China, Lining doesn't attach to pocket, Only 1 inner pocket

This leather jacket is exactly like advertised. It is very high quality and it fits perfectly. I followed the helpful instructions on fit. I am very pleased. My father was a B-52 commander and I envied his bomber jacket when I was a child. I’ve always wanted a bomber jacket but never bought one so for my 65th birthday I ordered the reed bomber jacket and I must say I waited decades too long to buy one. The fit and finish and quality of construction on the leather bomber jacket is phenomenal. It has a zip out liner as well. I’m sure whoever gets this jacket when I leave this earth will enjoy it. When you order yours, as you should definitely do, use the size chart provided by reed on the jackets website. It is accurate and the fit is exact. Thanks for making such a great product.

Absolutely love this jacket. I bought one about 30 years ago that I have completely worn out and wanted to replace it with a similar coat. This isn't an exact match, but it is very close. This is a heavy weight leather coat, which is exactly what I wanted. The fit was perfect, and the quality of the leather and zippers is terrific. For the price point, this is great. I'm not sure how a jacket at 2-3 times the price could be any better. The leather smells great, and it is definitely very warm. I wore it on a recent trip to London UK where temps were in the low 40's F and even without the liner it was very warm, even had to unzip it or take it off several times because it was too warm. Excellent job Reed, just as impressed with this coat as the original I bought from you many years ago!

very stylish leather jacket and according to the seller is napa leather. when I looked it up, Ifound information that said Napa leather is a higher quality leather than just sheepskin, its supposedto be instead Goatskin or kid leather. the jacket has only one inner pocket which makes it a bitinconvient but I had a second inner pocket put on the right inner side.For the price it is well worth it given the sharp style. but keep in mind it is genuine leather.this was what concerned me when I ordered it how good and authentic of quality of leather is it.I was impressed, but buying a leather jacket in store is a lot different than buying online.

I am certainly not disappointed with this jacket. For the price and by today's manufacturing standards it is pretty much what I could expect.The hide is definitely soft and supple. Although a bit thinner that what I expected and feels a little stretchy (synthetic-y(?). It is warm yet light. Great for Spring and Fall weather. The zip-out lining; I found annoying. I use my inside breast pocket often to carry my phone or slim wallet. The zip-out is not connected to the inside pocket itself which leaves a big gap between the two. I must have had my phone fall out between the lining and pocket 3 times before I finally removed the lining altogether as to avoid causing severe damage to my $800 device. The fit is pretty good and the jacket itself is very comfortable...BUT what's with the collar??? Yikes! - Super 70s' wide!!! The collar dimensions must not be tailored for each individual size. I ordered Small and the collar looks like it would be more appropriate for a large. Nevertheless....As tempting as it is; I will refrain from even remotely comparing my circa 80s' (still near perfect after 30+) Berman Buckskin Leather Bomber with this new purchase.....The Reed is still a decent buyEDIT: Update -Upgrading this review for the Reed men's Bomber leather jacket to 5 stars. Having worn it for a couple of weeks I'm really liking it now that it's a little broken in. Although my opinion regarding the liner and ridiculously large collar (for a small) remain un-waivered. Awesome jacket.

very nice jacket. only disappointments were that we thought it would be heavier, and tag said made in china. I thought reed leather made their products in the u.s.a.

I love it I was worried it was the wrong size because I measured wrong and this was a little bigger but it fits perfect I love it it looks great high quality I would recommend this to anybody

I am very happy with this purchase and could give it 4.9/5.0 stars. The leather is extremely supple yet the jacket holds it's shape perfectly which gives it a more sophisticated look than the traditional bomber jacket. If I had found this jacket elsewhere, I would have easily paid double Amazon's price. The fit is spot on. I would have preferred the side pockets being deeper since there are no snap flaps on the pockets as with traditional bomber jackets but this also is what gives the jacket a classier look. I would also have preferred that the left inner breast pocket be attached behind the lining so there is not a risk that an item is not dropped down into the front body of the jacket. A right inner breast pocket would also have been a nice feature.
