Makes great tasting wine. Allow wine time to age before drinking.
Vintners base is very good and easy to use. It allows me to make flavors I don’t have available to me.
This was disappointing as it has very little elderberry in it. It is mostly corn syrup. However the flavor is excellent and the mix started fermenting almost immediately. Vinter's best has another syrup that is mostly Elderberry for the price I would go with that.
Good flavor and body. I combined it with 2 lbs. of the dried elderberries from Amazon(I reconstituted in warm sugar water) to kick it up a notch. Bottled and put away for a couple of years for something special.
This review has taken a while, I had to brew the wine before I could review it.I've never had Elderberry wine before, but this stuff is delicious! It's got an acidic, really tart hit on the first sip, then it's just a great flavor that goes great with red meat, or as a desert wine. It's kinda like drinking SweetTarts. It's a great value for money, as well. 5 gallons of great wine for under $50? I'll take that deal any day!
Corn syrup is highly processed and bad for you. Yuk.
Makes great jelly
This product has met my expectations I have used it several times and have always been happy with the results
