This product stopped holding a charge after a few months - it won't turn on. I can't find a way to contact the manufacturer. For the price paid, this should last and have proper customer support.
this is an awesome product, it does deeply penetrate teeth, gums and bones. I move it around, carefully, to my upper and lower jaw bones to eliminate infections, and it works. I run it as many times on each charge as I can, as I use it for health purposes, not whitening. There is 1 weakness about the unit, the micro-connection where the 2 parts join. It is vulnerable and delicate, so it is good to plan times when you won't be moving around so as not to knock the pieces apart. The first unit I received, the charging part didn't work correctly, the flashing red "charging" light would go solid in less than 45 minutes- reflecting that it's completely charged. But it only rendered 1 cycle of use, a fully charged unit will give 3 full "10" minute cycles. DPL customer has contacted me and replaced the defective unit, I am still very pleased with this product.
First let me say that I love this company's light therapy products and our family and extended family have been using them with great results for many years. I have purchased at least 8 of their LED light panels for myself, family and friends and they are top notch. I have purchased multiples of these oral light therapy devices and while the lights DO work and benefit the gums and teeth, there is one major defect in this product that could be easily fixed. If you look at my photo of the actual item you will see that there are FIVE holes in the silicone/plastic covering the led chamber. There are a total of ten holes in total, five on bottom and five on top. These holes will allow saliva to leak into the chamber and eventually the lights will go out/stop working because of this. I have already had multiple units break on me after say 20 uses. I could see the saliva in the unit where the lights broke. That being said I had high hopes that the company revised their design because the current listing photos show no such holes, so I recently bought two more units. The listing photo is inaccurate and the new units came with the same holes and will be going back as well. If the company would fix this issue, this would be a fantastic product. I posted screenshots of the current listing photo that shows no holes in the silicone plastic, and I posted a photo of the actual item in real life that clearly shows the holes. I also posted a video to show the holes. The last photo is of one of my broken devices. As you can see, the 2 far left red lights work and 1 far right red light works, the others are broken. I can see how the spit leaked in and broke the lights, which is both annoying and gross. I truly hope the company fixes this issue because this is a great product and really works! All of their products that I have used really work and their light therapy technology is great. Their light panels plump up the skin on my face and also help with injury pain and inflammation considerably and I use them daily. I hope they get rid of the holes in this oral therapy device soon, it would be an easy fix,
Have had it for about a month feel no difference. Also doent really fit. Just got a bridge so its to tight. No issue with the charge..ill.keep trying to use it but so far I see no change except that it makes the inside of my upper lips sore
UPDATE: The unit seems to work fine now. I noticed that it depends upon how the base is plugged into the mouth guard. If you are having problems, try flipping the base (or mouth piece) over and plugging it in again. When working properly, the red light in the mouth piece turns on first, followed by the green light on the base. The unit seems to work for 5 - 7 days before needing another charge.ORIGINAL: I hope the seller will stand behind their product and remedy this situation (fingers crossed). Over the past two weeks, the unit has been shutting off after less and less time. Now, it only stays on for a few seconds after being charged. Now that I'd like to return it, it looks like that option isn't available after only four and a half weeks.
I am a great fan of therapeutic red light. I own two- a face device and a light for injury/pain relief, so it was easy to buy this unit as soon as I saw it. It has not disappointed. I had an incisor that became inflamed and even seemed loosened, after I pushed it against a lower tooth as I slept. I woke with dental pain, and grabbed the light, taking it through two cycles (it turns itself off for some reason). Later the same day I noticed that I had forgotten about the tooth. Red light really does work. My only negative is I wish the arch that you bite down on extended farther back to reach the wisdom teeth- it's a bit too short. UPDATE- I have been using the light quite often and have some criticisms of the design. A protective cap which fits over the USB port while rinsing the unit is too small and is made of clear silicone; it's going to get lost. The dental tray arch is too shallow and narrow. I have been using it with whitening gel for the last 3 uses and don't see any change yet. I will continue the attempt for at least two more weeks. There are no guides included- you are on your own.
