I was recommended a tea I hadn't heard of.So I tried it!It's really good and strong. Like An Assam. But it's blended with some Kenyan black teas too. It's called "Scottish Breakfast".It packs about:9.5% naturally occurring polyphenols& 25-30mg naturally occurring L-Theanine& 42-50mg naturally occurring caffeine.per 6 ounces.--> For reference .. lol .. I drink 12oz mugs of most other black or green teas or non-tea herbal/flower/fruit/spice tisanes. -->Water too, 12oz at a time!At first I thought: oh great another "breakfast" tea blend. But this one is definitely different. Not like English or Irish "breakfast" blends. And a far cry from Australian or American breakfast blends...It's malty and strong!!! Extremely full-bodied and earthy with a slight bitter edge. I can tell it's caffeine-heavy. . The aroma is sweet and pleasant. This specifc Scottish blend I tested is not stated as organic. Many of thier products, however, are indeed organic as is the Taylor's Tribute Scottish.I'm impressed with the Taylor's business principles. They're commited to Rainforest Alliance and the Ethical Tea Partnership, Fair Trade, Sustainable Growing, pricing transparency, rewards for quality, supply chain resiliency, etc. They hold Carbon Neutral Certification and are still independently owned by the same family since 1886. (*Not been around longer than Twinings but... not many are).I can see that they fully participated in a 4-pillar Sedex SMETA audit. Which I know first-hand and up-close those audits are comprehensive and rigorously conducted .I drink lots of tea. This won't replace my go-to (lifesavers) of daily pu'erh, hibiscus, rooibos because I add other junk into those like ginger, turmeric, lemon, etc.BUT... I'll definitely be adding it to the rotation with the many others I live/love to drink and I'm looking forward to *soaking it strong* for some cold tea on ice.Good stuff!

Buon tea da colazione come dice la scritta, anche se io lo preferisco di pomeriggio. Molto simile all'english breakfast. Sinceramente mi aspettavo qualcosa di meglio. Comunque si fa bere.

Absolutely love Taylors tea and their chai spice blend is delicious. However, there is so little tea and spice in their chai teabags (2024) that the cuppa will taste watered down if more than 6 ounces of water are used. While I'm certain Taylors would say they build for a 6 ounce cup, most hot serve cups exceed 6 ounces by, at least, a couple of ounces and there is simply no room for that extra water with these Taylor chai tea bags, 5 out of 5 stars for the blend _minus_ 1 star for pulling a scrooge and "shrinkflating" the chai tea blend in each teabag for a 4 star rating.

It wasn't horrible, just meh. I realize flavor is totally subjective, but what i look for in Earl Grey is the bergamot flavor and I just didn't get that. It tasted like regular black tea to me. Good quality black tea, but the same type flavor I get from Luzianne.

Definitely not a bad chai; chai is so different everywhere that I have not found "my" favorite chai. I probably will not be getting it again (because I have to find that perfect chai) but there are plenty of good chais that I dislike and this is not one of them! It is not too peppery or whatever some other spice that sometimes makes my mouth feel weird is. I'm happy I tried it!

Who We Are

We've had a deep fascination with flavor for 130 years – and we believe you can taste the difference.

We’re a UK independent family tea company and our story starts back in 1886. We have strong family values and a love for fairness, quality, creativity and treating our partners and suppliers with respect.

We re-invest part of our profits in community and environmental projects, to make a continued difference to the quality of our tea and to the lives of the people who grow it.

Our teas and infusions stand on the shoulders of more than a century of tea-making history and passion. And we're completely, utterly devoted to the pursuit of extraordinary flavor.

Giving Back

Taylors is committed to supporting people and planet, both in the Yorkshire region where we’re based and in our global tea and coffee supply chain. We see investment in community and environmental projects as critical to support our long term future, and work to grow strong, lasting relationships, sometimes over decades, to make a continued difference to the quality of our teas and to the lives of the people who grow them.

Our team of tea and coffee buyers spend many months a year overseas so we see firsthand the difference we’re making to the communities we rely on for our tea and coffee. It’s not always easy and many of the challenges within our global supply chain are deep-rooted and complex, but we’re proud of our commitment, the progress made so far, and deeply grateful for the on-going support and commitment we receive from suppliers and partners.

Working together for a sustainable future

Taylors Sourcing Approach

(TSA) is our model for how we buy our tea and coffee. Rather than simply ‘buying a commodity’, TSA is a way of buying which allows us to build the supply chain we want and need for the future. At its heart is a commitment to put our values at the center of how we buy, underpinned by long-term relationships with key strategic suppliers.

The Environment

By reducing our environmental impacts, both within our own operations and our supply chain, and by planting trees and supporting other carbon capture and reduction projects, we’re working towards making our tea and coffee range ‘carbon neutral’.

Improving Livelihoods

The tea and coffee sector is highly dependent on the smallholders who grow 80% of the world’s coffee and 70% of global tea production. Decreasing farm size, access to and cost of soil inputs, rudimentary farming methods, lack of investment in infrastructure and increasingly unpredictable weather and patterns, are all impacting on smallholders’ ability to make a living.

Resilient Communities

We’re committed to ensuring the communities in which our suppliers, smallholders and workers are based are resilient and sustainable for the future. Together with our key suppliers, we work to understand the challenges their communities face and support projects and initiatives to address them. These vary in scale and reach, from small timebound partnerships with suppliers, to significant industry collaborations.
