Pros:- High quality ties- Authentic Hogwarts house colors (Hufflepuff is now yellow and black)- Amazing price pointCons:- Not the LITERAL ties they used for filming...Honestly, unless you have been accepted to Hogwarts and are trying to save a few sickles by shopping on Amazon instead of Madam Malkin's, I think you'll find these ties to exceed your expectations. As another reviewer mentioned, they are slightly skinnier than your grandfather's traditional ties, but I think your average Gen X/Millenial/Xenial Harry Potter Fan would not even notice this. As the description states, they are 2 3/4 inches at their widest, so these are not actually "skinny ties" either.The colors are bright--nearly identical to the hue of the ties worn by the Hogwarts cast members at Universal Studios. The fabric is soft and silky. It is somewhat prone to snagging, but then, what ties aren't?I bought these as props for a game in my class of 5th graders, and even under the harshest conditions (think tug-of-war when 10-year-olds lose the game) these have held up beautifully. I'm excited to represent my Ravenclaw House at all the Harry-Potter-themed things I attend in the future.

Great quality material. Thick and can easily be worn in daily life. Wonderful substitution in lieu of the costumed version or with the traditional patch.

You can see my HP liscenced tie on left of the rest, which is a duller color and is a flatter material (the set of 4 ties have a more textured appearance and feel). That being said, I didn't realize they were skinny ties until after I bought them-- but they are not much smaller in width than the liscenced brand of ties (last pic) and look much nicer. Also, to those concerned about color accuracy mine came out perfect. Even the Hufflepuff which some complained was too navy, was clearly a shade of black (if not a tad shiny from the material itself) and looked great. Only complaint could stem from the Ravenclaw ties following movie colors (blue, silver) and not book colors (blue, bronze).

I expected it to be ok due to the price, but I was surprised by the quality, it is great and proper, works excellently and holds shape of the tie well

It was so great getting all 4 Hogwarts house ties in one order! These ties are a bit thin, and it's obvious that they're on the cheaper side. Some of the material has begun to fray on two of the ties... oddly enough, the two ties I have NOT worn!Overall, a good value for the price and will definitely get the job done for your Hogwarts student costume OR if you're in middle/high school and need a tie for a presentation or band concert or something. I wouldn't wear these to work.

Purchased for a HP themed party (sorting hat ceremony) and they worked out great. I bought two packs and they were much cheeper here than any local party store (4 of these on Amazon were like the cost of 1 in stores). The fabric has a bit of texture to it, which makes it feel 1000x nicer. Looks more expensive than it actually is for sure!

Great price for the 4pk. Easy to tie and the material is soft and smooth, also the length of the tie was perfect, not too long or short.

I was originally going to buy these ties from the Halloween store. However, each Thai was going to cost me between 25 and $35 which seem like a lot for something. I only wear once a year. I found these on Amazon and I have to say that I was very pleasantly surprised at the price, and the fact that I can get all four houses in the same bundle, luckily for me me and my friends were each dress as a different house so it worked out great. Keep in mind though that these ties do not have the house emblem it’s just the colors materials is really nice and it’s big enough for somebody my size lol.
