My 3 yo. son has been playing w/ this toy, inside and outside, for almost a year now and it continues to hold up where plastic toys have failed. You might notice that the tires are off the dump truck and the tread is off the excavator. That's because my son likes to pull them off and on while he's playing. After doing this dozens of times, neither the thick rubber tires or tread show any signs of wear or damage. And the detail level is ridiculous. The hydraulic pistons are in the correct locations. The articulations are true to form. The toy does what the machines do.When buying construction toys, materials matter. These vehicles are nearly 100% diecast and, like the rest of Top Race's construction vehicles, overbuilt and over-detailed.A terrific product!

As everybody knows small boys are rough and like to smash toys up, I am sick of buying cheap plastic toys that only last a couple of weeks under the scrutiny of my small boy,I was looking for a good quality product to let my son run wild with ,I come across this and decide to give it a go.I was more than impressed at the build quality and the authenticity of the product I would recommend it to anybody who is looking for a long lasting toy for their child.thank you for supplying me with such a wonderful gift for my sons birthday.

Pieces are mostly plastic so they don’t meet the description of die cast metal. Not very durable. Parts broke or pins fell out in the first week. Kinda disappointed.

So far my five year old loves these toys. They are sturdy and heavy duty for the abuse they take from a five and three year old. They are so realistic in movement and the way it functions. I would definitely recommend these toys to any boys or girls who like to play with these type of toys. Thanks Amazon and the product seller for such a great gift

This is a good sturdy toy. My grandson loves it. The tracks on the excavator tend to come off, but that is expected. When one broke I contacted the email address on the box to see if I could get a new set of tracks. They did not question me. After a few weeks a new set arrived in the mail. Customer service was very good. My only criticism would be they need to let one know what is happening as well as the automatic, we received you email, response. I would buy this again!

My son really likes these toys and I think they are pretty cool. In nutshell, I like them because they are detailed in design, durable, mostly metal(from what I can tell) and the treads on the excavator are easy to put back on when they pop off.What really made me want to leave a review on this products is because of the customer service. I contacted them because we had an issue with one of the toys. I sent an email and they responded same day and also with a solution to the problem. I am very pleased with the customer service.

These are advertised as being quality die cast metal toys, and are certainly priced as such. My 4 year old boy is remarkably gentle with toys, but these were a huge disappointment. The treads keep coming off the excavator - he’s figured out how to put them back on but it’s only a matter of time before they get so loose they won’t stay on. The dump truck is even worse. After two weeks it just snapped in half. He didn’t drop it, the truck just snapped in half at the articulating joint while he was playing with it. See the picture above. That little flimsy screw is all that holds the front to the back. It’s not even made from hardened steel; it’s just ferric iron like a drywall screw. I was able to fix it with a proper hardened stainless steel screw, and which is what should have been used in the first place. These toys are adorable and very realistic looking, but all the important parts are plastic and therefore I doubt they will last long. Do yourself a favor, go on eBay, and buy some Ertl Mighty Movers toys from the 80s. They look better and will last much longer.
