08-03-2026I wanted to give this braid a true work out before I commented on its performance and MY opinion of it. I have used Power Pro for bass fishing several times in the past and I just simply did not like it. It retains memory and for me didnt cast well. I am also an avid crappie fisherman so I decided to purchase this Onyx 6lb test in yellow. After using it this summer I am Very happy with it. It is extremely limp, super strong and casts every bit as good as monofilament. Fill your reel up but don't overfill and you will be happy too. If you overfill you will get the wind knots and thats not fun. I use it tied directly to a 1/16 crappie jig and it casts great as crappie are not line shy. I have a reel spooled up with it now in which I have a short clear monofilament leader tied to the braid with a crazy alberto knot and a gold number 4 hook in which I intend to fish a red creme angle worm across the shoals at my local trout river, I think it will work awesome for that. Get you a spool of this tiny diameter braid and try it, I think you will like it-note: I am using long light action rods with this 6'6" and 7' rods.

08-03-2026I wanted to put this line to the test before any recommendations, that way I can give an honest, helpful review. This was my first experience on the Florida waters with the Piscifun braided line and I can gladly say it performed beautifully in very tough conditions. It was a windy and very choppy morning, with big swells. I've spooled my Penn Battle 4000 with the Piscifun 15lb test. This is a perfect combination of castibility and durability. Very few wind knots and the jigs and spoons I was casting(1/4 to 1/2 ounce) against a stiff 15mph wind was no problem at all. I fish the florida waters for mackerals, spanish and kingfish, as well as groupers, snappers and all inshore fish in the fresh and saltwater.I was a little concerned about the strength, but I lost no fish due to breakage or knot failures. The value and quality of Piscifun cannot be beaten by its competitors. You're basically getting twice as much line at the same cost. Piscifun has a great product on their hands. As long as they cankeep this quality and price, this line is a no brainier, buy it. This mackeral in the video I caught with a sidewinder jig and Piscifun yellow colored 15lb . A great fight on light line, but no problem or worries with Piscifun. Piscifun Braided Fishing LineUpdate: April 2016 Here's a video of me fighting an Atlantic Bonito with the Piscifun 15lb line. The braid held up wonderfully in a real dogfight with light tackle. The only minor issue with this line is the color can fade, however strengthwise, it definitely delivers.
