08-03-2026I feel like a lot of the negative reviews come from not understanding how to use this type of reel or collapsible pole.While it is very plastic it's not nearly as flimsy as some poles I've gotten for my kids.This thing has all the functionality of just a reel costing 2x what you get the whole thing for. Great for teaching kids how this type of reel works. It doesn't set after a cast as easily but you can always show your kid how to manually flip it so they don't struggle.Some pointers for those considering this:You always need a little tension on the line when reeling in or it WILL tangle!Don't forget to adjust tension on the top and to set the switch on the underside appropriately.Don't use too much force when extending the segments, they can get stuck and you can break it!

08-03-2026If you want a little pole, that folds up neat into a little case, even has some basic hooks and jigg's, This will get you fishin. This is one of the beter ones that are small and telescopic. Ive tryed about 3x of these smaller setups so far. this was one of the better ones for the price. The pole folds up, closes up nice, and unfolds nice. Line is nt great, but it works. The reel is actually not bad either. worked fine past 3x i used it. Best part is it all folds up into a little case too carry werever you want. best part, if it falls in the drink, the gets stepped on, Its not some 80$ ugly stick etc gettin broke..

08-03-2026I was looking for fishing supplies to take my friends and relatives to go fishing for free fishing day which is Sept. 1 this year. I came across this telescopic fishing rod and it came with all of the essentials needed to catch small fish by a creek or lake. Also when the item arrived the delivery showed that it was left in the mailbox. I thought "what?? no way it could fit in our mailbox." However, it was true! The fishing rod along with a reel and a small box to hold all the hooks, lures, and other small fishing gear all fit very compactly in the bag. I would recommend this for people who want to fish with their children or even to just take with friends who want to be introduced to fishing. Take this to a local pond/lake/creek and look for some blue gills near the shore and cast this rod out with slim jims on the hook. You'll catch some blue gills easily! Also since it's so small you can leave it in the back of your car or backpack in case you ever decide last minute that you want to fish.

08-03-2026Tackle box was nicely filled. Packaging was compact. Fishing pole had no bobber and no handle. The line got tangled in the reel and I was not able to remove the reel to fix the tangled line. Hence it broke off, product is unsatisfactory.

08-03-2026I was a bit concerned about this product, the size and quality. But to my surprise this is a pretty good kit. Bought for my grandparent for their camper and it’s perfect! The little tackle kit comes in a small case, the rod is a pretty decent size and the reel is pretty good quality
