The ultimate new braid in the J-Braid family, Daiwa J-Braid Grand x8 is some of the strongest and most abrasion resistant 8-carrier braided fishing line ever put on the market. Yet, despite its durability, J-Braid Grand x8 is also extremely soft, supple, and easy-to-spool.
How is fishing line with such remarkable characteristics possible? J-Braid Grand x8 is spun with IZANAS, a new, state-of-the-art, high-modulus fiber that is leaps and bounds stronger than any other fiber material on the market. For example, according to Toyobo Industrial Materials (the maker of IZANAS), it's roughly four times stronger than polyester nylon (what most monofilament is made of), twice as strong as fluorocarbon, and is even stronger than aramid, a class of military- and aerospace-grade fibers that includes Kevlar (aka the stuff bulletproof vests are made of), among others. Available in 150 and 300 yard spools in test strengths ranging for 6 pound to 80 pound.
It is better to me than the standard x8 braid.
Nice line ilove it
Compre esta linea y se rompe muy facil se deshilachó ya perdi dos señuelos mas caros de lo que me costo de verdad no se si me dieron un linea vieja o me toco la mala suerte pero no me sirvio para nada y es de muy mala calidad
The Daiwa J-Braid 8X is top-notch! It offers incredible strength and smoothness, making it perfect for long casts and tough conditions. The 300-yard spool ensures you’re well-equipped for any fishing
I’m not sure why I ever buy any other braided lines. The j-braid grand is great. It casts well, is very quiet in the guides, and is much smoother than other options (like Sufix Revolve). I use an Alberto knot to attach leader material to this braid and have had no issues- it provides a strong and reliable hold. j-braid grand is always a good value for the money. The diameter is thinner than other brands with the same test rating, and I’ve had no issues with wind knots.
Small diameter and smooth 8 strand weave makes this longer casting than my Sufix 832. The trade off is the J-Braid Grand is noticeably less durable and on a fish fight even a momentary contact with a bottom obstacle could break the line. Knowing this I can switch between Daiwa Grand when casting distance is a priority and Sufix 832 when tougher line is advantageous.Excellent line within its limitations and I spool Daiwa Grand in 6, 8, 10, 15, and 20# tests for different apps. Like any braid I untwist the front 15' or whatever is needed after every session. No problems with wind knots on 3 different spinning reels as long as due diligence is applied to avoid loose loops on retrieves after casting.
Love it
Great product, not one complaint.
I like this line colour for ocean fishing.
Really good braided fishing line,I use Diawa J8 on a regular basis!
Fish for a few hours line starts to unravel i thought it was the eyes damaging the line is not damaged just feels rough after hours because it is unraveling the weave gets loose as you fish ether its no good this line or Amazon just got a bad batch yet again it is like amazon sells defective products as new next oder i make better be right or im done with the prime scam fully done
It has a lite-ness to the line while having great strength. Hides well in the water , easy to cast with a spinning cast. Some times a mono can have issues with a spinning reel...not this product
In my fishing experience, I rely on just two main braided lines, and Daiwa X8 braid is one of my top choices. I typically switch between these two brands depending on which one offers the best price at the time. The Daiwa 8 strand braid stands out because it feels very smooth and produces less noise as it passes through the guides on the fishing rod, compared to other lines. It is more flexible than 4 strand braids, which can make knot tying a bit more challenging for some, but I believe the benefits make it worthwhile. Another advantage of this braid is its color retention; it holds its color much longer than budget lines, which often fade or bleed after just a few weeks of use. I suggest choosing the brighter color options, as they make it easier to follow your line in the water. Pairing the braid with a quality fluorocarbon leader helps keep the line invisible to fish. Using a reliable braided line like Daiwa J-Braid X8 is important because you want to avoid the risk of line breakage, especially when you have a large fish on the hook. Overall, I recommend sticking with trusted brands, and Daiwa J-Braid X8 is definitely a top contender in my opinion.

Daiwa's first spinning reel rolled off the assembly line in 1955. Since then, the company has grown into one of the largest and influential tackle companies.
From the very beginning, Daiwa's emphasis has been upon innovation and quality. The result is a long list of product features, design and materials that have become standards for the fishing tackle industry. It is a long-standing record of innovation, the type of innovation that has left a visible mark on the majority of tackle manufactured today, innovation that continues to advance the sport of fishing.
