It works for the most part. The size of the gaps between forks means that there are some lashes that don’t get separated. However it takes out most of the mascara clumping which is better than nothing. You can’t give half stars so I went lower with a 3 star review. Ideally I’d give this 3.5. To give you an idea of how I do my Amazon ratings:5 stars would have to mean it was perfect in every way - price point, quality, does exactly what I wanted it to. I have to be very excited about the product. There are very few products I have purchased that get this distinction.4 stars - everything on point and no disappointment, but doesn’t exceed my expectations.3 stars - not upset that I bought it, does a decent job.2 stars - doesn’t do as advertised. So to start off with the negatives, the combs aren't close enough together to do much and sometimes I notice that my lashes start to clump together more from how separated the combs are. But it's pretty and decently lightweight, not to mention small and easy to carry around. I think, for the cheap price, it's decent, but I would close the gaps between the combs and then the product would do what it says it does. Overall, not bad, don't know if I'd buy it again, but really not bad at all

Overall it's a good eyelash separator. Seems durable not cheap. But once mascara hardens is a bit hard for it to separate the tips. Don't recommend for people who love heavy mascara. But it's good for the price.
