This is my first in-wall cable management install. And now that I have completed it, I can say that the overall design of this system is excellent! You will need to provide your own electric drill and stud finder, but the kit comes with a high quality hole saw blade. You attach the saw blade to your electric drill to make the two holes necessary for the brackets. When I installed my in-wall cable management kit, I came across a couple of unforseen problems. So I did take me a bit longer than what the website said it would. Since my install was on an outside wall (a load bearing wall), I encountered a 2x4 going across horizontally, which blocked the path for the cables. So I had to patch that hole and drill another hole below the 2x4. But because of the hole-cutting blade, I had the perfect size piece of drywall to patch the first hole and got that taken care of quickly. No biggy - just lost time. Reset the clock. Start over. Cutting the two holes was quick, but then when I tried to pass the cables I found out that there was a metal pipe going through the wall horizontally near the ground. It took some careful threading to get the plug end of the cable bracket to go past the pipe, but it eventually did. I fed the HDMI cables through the wall and through the brackets. Then I snapped them into the wall and added the frame-like ring of plastic to cover the rough edges of the drywall. A word of advice - definitely feed all cables through before snapping the bracket in place. It is easier to fish the cables through the holes in the wall and then feed them through the bracket prior to snapping the bracket into the wall. If not for these two set-backs, it would have been a very simple install that could have been done in less than 30 minutes. The actual cable kit is very easy to work with and install as long as everything goes as planned. The finished product looks great and costs a lot less than paying for an electrician to come out and install a hardwired, in-the-wall bracket. The only difference is you have to use an extension cord, which is provided with the kit. The female end of the extension cord plugs into the bottom bracket and the male end of the extension cord plugs into your regular wall outlet. For me, the extension cord is hidden by my TV console though, so I'm glad I did it myself and didn't spend a lot of money to have an electrician come out and do it. The final product is a professional looking wall mount system without the expense!

Really happy with this in-wall cable management kit. Awesome product, no electrical work needed - it's basically a fancy extension cord that allows you to hide any necessary tv port cables (hdmi, etc) in-wall. Super quick and easy to install, clear instructions, hole saw included, plenty of in-wall wire and wire to the outlet. Works great, looks amazing, no visible wires between wall mounted TV and media table. I ran 2 low voltage cables (hdmi, etc.) through it, was room for more. Worth carefully picking the wall mounted plug location before drilling the 3" hole to avoid crushing the power cord with any hanging brackets and ensuring adequate length for TV power cords and low voltage cables to be hidden. 90 degree LG OLED power plug fits easy. Heads up, this kit does require several inches of space behind the dry wall, was pretty snug.

I helped my son mount his 55 inch flat screen TV on the wall of his new condo. I researched quite a bit and chose a fully articulating mount and the Echogear In Wall Power Kit. Everything short of a screwdriver and drill was in the kit. I bought a second one for me to add in wall power to my mounted flat screen TV also. The instructions are simple, and honestly, the entire install was pretty much intuitive. You pick the placement for where you want to hide the holes and use the included hole saw on a standard electric drill and you are half way done. The ring covers snap into place, turn the clamping wings with a screwdriver and you are pretty much done. The romex wires meet code to run power behind drywall and there is enough room left to run several AV cables. We ran 3 HDMI and 1 SPDIF cables without any problem. Even with those, I felt we could fit another HDMI and ethernet and coax if we needed it.The most difficult part and most time consuming is building the courage to simply make a hole in the wall : ) After that we were 10 minutes from completing the entire project. It worked perfectly and the price is very reasonable. I shopped at two big box stores and the least expensive in wall wiring kit was over 80 dollars for a much larger kit. This kit is just right. Perfect for a single power outlet and a handful of your most commonly used cables. It is as small as it can possibly be and still have the room for a full size power plug and space for the AV cables. My son and I were very pleased and I am looking forward to installing my second kit for my TV.For tips, there really aren't any the instructions, online tips and videos did not mention. Obviously make sure your two holes are between the same studs so you have the hollow portion of your wall between them. The holes cannot be more than 5 feet apart as that is the distance of the attached romex. You do not need wire nuts or strippers. Both ends of the power cable are terminated with a male and female outlet and you get a special extension cord to plug the bottom connector to a standard household outlet. Good luck, one of the easiest and professional looking in wall wiring kits I have experienced.

The product is great & works perfectly however the hole saw included to cut thru the drywall was very poor. I had to improvise with a spade but I already had to make the proper sized hole. But once that was done, the product installed very easily & works great.
