08-03-2026I bought this to replace a 10 year old Tumi Alpha International carryon. It was a great price, but I encountered the same issue that I a lot of other reviewers had. It's a great bag, but I can't open it. I even talked to Tumi for instructions and can't make it work. I guess you have to buy from Tumi or an authorized dealer to get a working bag. Now I have to return it - not pleased.

He travels with suits so the interior hanging pocket for shirts is wonderful and the best is he power through charging! Now we don’t worry if we need to find a power supply in an airport or even while waiting for an Uber! Perfect gift for the traveler spouse!

08-03-2026Tumi quality...beautiful color! The value was fantastic as well with the discounts available on the discontinued color. Size is perfect for carry on with all major airlines. Four wheel steer is a nice upgrade from my Gen 3 bag that had 2.

08-03-2026May be heavy for some but I love this bag. Tons of organization and functionality. My usbc port isn't working hence the 4 stars. Submitted support request with Tumi to see if there's a fix, as Ive already traveled with my bag and had a store customize it.Hopefully we get this sorted out and make this a five star review.

08-03-2026When I ordered this bag I was concerned I’d get a USB A version as pictured, but I got the updated USB C style connector instead which is great.I’m able to get a lot in this small bag, easily enough for a week in a warm climate. When stuffed it somehow zips easily. I like the lock style a lot too and had no problem setting the combo.

08-03-2026Most of my luggage is Tumi, so I am not biased. I love Tumi for luggage as well as other bags. However this unopened and empty carry-on is very heavy for me. Other than that, I can really recommend other Tumi luggage and travel items.

Tumi was the first to bring ballistic nylon to the consumer market over 30 years ago. Now we have perfected it with our exclusive FXT ballistic fabric, which combines a unique weave and a special coating to make it ultra-tough and virtually abrasion proof.
Omega Closure System
Tumi's exclusive closure system significantly reduces the risk of damage to the zipper. The Omega zipper puller is designed to break away from the bag if it becomes caught. The puller, rather than the entire zipper, is then quickly and easily replaced.
TUMI Tracer
The Tumi Tracer is an exclusive, complimentary program that helps reunite Tumi customers with their lost or stolen items. The core of the program is a unique 20-digit individual product number printed on a special metal plate that is permanently affixed to Tumi products. X-Brace 45 Handle System
This innovative handle tube system protects the telescopic handle of the travel case.
