I really wanted these short hailers to work, however, the strap that goes around the bottom to hold the gaiter to your shoe is soooo short it makes them very hard to try and fasten. They were so difficult, I decided to send right back and I would not recommend these gaiters.
These worked great. First run with them was 200 miles on the PCT and they held up great and allowed no travelers into my socks or shoes.
These work well and stay in place. Not had the buckles come open too often. They definitely stop debris and sand flicking into the back of my walking boots. They wash really well. Only small criticism is that you need to remember to put them on before your boots and have to take your boots off to remove them, as they have no zip.
These work perfect and stay in place
I've been using these Azarxis Low Trail Gaiters on most of my mountain and woods hikes for the past couple years (3-9 hikes/year, all seasons).Pros: 1) They do indeed keep dirt and such out, which was my primary reason for buying them. 2) I don't notice them on (aside from them not staying clipped). 3) Easy to put on and take off. 4) I like the little hook that keeps the gaiters attached to my shoe even if the strap doesn't stay clipped.Cons: 1) The straps that go under the boot don't stay in the clip for more than a few miles, so I have to keep on adjusting them. 2) After these few years, the rubber strap is definitely getting ripped up (though still works).
These work amazing to keep the grass out of your shoes. Iv been using these for years (not this one pair but boot gaiters in general) I never do yards without them. Nothing more annoying then having to clean grass out of your shoes. especially after scalping a yard.If you do lawncare.. get these. Iv used this brand for an entire season so far. Straps hold up but do come off every now and then and i have to reinsert into strap on side. could use a better heavier strap clamp.straps themselves start to wear slightly but mine are still together. will need a new pair for next year as they will not last..i do over 50 yards a week,. so do keep that in mind. im always moving around.
I'm happy with these ankle gaiters which are made from stretchy waterresistant material. Before using them on a walk for the first time, I tested it under tap and the water just beaded off. The jazzy colour looks good too!Because the material is stretchy, putting them on was quite easy and I like the clip which pulls the gaiter out to keep the boot laces covered. My only quibble with the design is the rubber strap that goes under the shoe. It seems quite strong so should last well but could wear over time. A more immediate issue is that the strap obviously gets muddy, making it hard to take them off without getting very dirty hands.
I’m no expert hiker. Just day hikes, with some moderate terrain in the Colorado Rockies. But I hate when little gritties get in my shoes.Enter these gaiters. I could tell pretty quick the strap was junk and would fail. Like some other reviewers I cut the straps off but then the gaiters wouldn’t stay in place.Velcro to the rescue. I added an adhesive backed Velcro square to the grippy part of the gaiters and the opposing square to the heel of my shoes. Now the gaiters work perfectly with minimal investment. I’ve been through mud, rain, flat, steep, rocks, etc. Gaiters don’t budge and zero debris in my shoes.
***Updated 4 to 3 Stars*** 5/21/22So I wore these on a technical 50k mountain run 2 weeks ago and I will say the buckle on these are the worse design ever. I had to keep stopping and pulling the strap back through the buckle on both gaiters. Every time I hit them with my poles, got them caught on a root or they hit a rock they would come undone. Plus the backs would keep rising expose the heel cup of the show.I recant my original statement and will never purchase another pair of these. This is a huge design flaw. Also one of the straps is already starting to wear.********************************I've owned an Anjonji/Azarxis products before and they're typically well made. I 've been looking for replacements/additional gaiters for my overpriced UD FK gaiters. I like them, but for some reason they don't work well with Topo even though they are universal. The back slides up. I like that these have the same Hypon strap under the bottom which is durable. I don't like that you can't replace it (sewn in). I thought that the hook loop on the front would fit on my Topo loop, but its a bit too big. I think I can shave it down with a razor blade. I wore these on a two trail runs so far and they did well. They stayed down in the back and I only had to pull down a few times, but they never drew all the way up exposing my heel cup. They are flexible, but I don't like the bunchiness on top. I like a more "pulled tight" look. But that's just aesthetics. The only major issue so far is that you have to take your shoe on/off to put these on. If you want to add them in the middle of a run or change them, you go to do this. My UD's velcro wrap around. The other issue is the strap is too short. I can barely get it to feed through the buckle enough to pull it through. It's extremely difficult. If I was in a race with little patience I would be extremely frustrated trying to deal with this. I wear a 9.5 and may can pull 1.5" of strap through, barely enough to tuck and that's pulling it tight.Overall, for the money, I'd defiantly purchase another pair. I like they have different color options/patterns too. As far as durability goes, we'll see about that.
I honestly would give less stars if I could. The pair I got was not tight enough around my ankles and kept rolling even though I thoroughly pulled the string thing. After about 2 hours of hiking the straps would stay locked in on both pairs. I eventually got annoyed at trouble shooting and tucked the straps in my shoe which of course cause friction quickly so I ended up completely taking them off. Which of course led me to getting a shoe full of rocks for approximately 6 hours of climbing. I should have taken them for a spin before doing an 8 hour climb but the others reviews gave me a lot of faith they would hold up.
I used to have a constant problem with rocks, stones, and other debris getting into my shoes/boots while hiking. I tried a couple different brands of gaiters and these are absolutely perfect. Once I have these on over my hiking boots, I fold my sock down over top, and nothing gets inside my boots. They're so comfortable and well-fitting that I can't even tell I have them on. They fit perfectly over my boots, and the strap stays firmly in place. You simply can't have better gaiters than these.
