I wanted a eurypterid (sea scorpion) and this was the only set of toys I could find that included one, but it also includes an assortment of other prehistoric superstars. You get a trilobite, two different ammonites, large and small belemnites (huge difference in size between them), a galeaspid fish, dunkleosteus, anomalocaris, and opabinia. When the set arrived everything had a weird gritty feeling to it, like the toys were dirty. However, I washed all of them with dish soap and the texture went away. A couple of flakes of paint were lost during this process.The highlights of this set are the diversity in species included (noted above) and the paint job on the toys. Several pieces have metallic highlights; there are some cool ombre effects; and a ton of detail, particularly on the opabinia, which has a little dot on every one of its feet. Honestly the set looks hand-painted it's so well done. (The dunk even matches my big fancy Schleich one, so it's like a baby for it.)If you want a set that showcases a lot of creatures rarely seen in toy form, and does it well, don't pass this one up. I wasn't sure about getting something off-brand for this price, but I haven't regretted getting this even once. The only problem was the weird residue and that washed off super easily.
