This cap is nice, does the job, and I use it every Sunday. My only reason for giving this is 4 stars is, the cap is a tad too tight, making me wish there were alternate size options. The cap doesn’t hold hot heat for more than 15-20 minutes. After that it stays warm, but not as heated as when it’s first out of the microwave. Overall I would still recommend this heating cap especially for the price!
Esto me sirvió mucho para obtener calor para los tratamiento de su cabello cuando te lo quitas te deja el pelo tan suave lo recomiendo
After trying to balance wheat socks on my head for heated deep moisturizing treatment, I was excited to try this cap. I love it! It is well made, soft, cute, and sewn in layers around the cap so the flaxseeds don't all fall to one section. It heats up very quickly in the microwave - 30 seconds is all I need for maximum heat. Now, it doesn't hold heat very long - I have to pop it back in the microwave every five minutes or so. But I love that it is all-natural and non-electric. I also love the many disposable plastic shower caps that come with it to protect the cloth exterior. Definitely recommend for making the most of your deep moisturizing treatments!
I've used this heat cap to deep condition my wig and now my natural hair. It stays pretty warm long enough! I think for a 30 minutes deep condition, I might have to pop it back in the microwave again. But still, it does retain most of the heat! The cap itself is thick and filled with linseed which gets very warm. It's a comfortable fit. I like that it's microwaveable because I don't want a consistent amount of heat on my head or on my natural hair during deep conditioning. So I prefer this because it loses the heat over time. I also love that there's 9 shower caps to protect the heat cap from hair products. The little bag is very convenient! Once you're done, you can put everything back into one place!
I very much like this heat cap. It's filled with flax seed that hold the heat for a long time. My hair was super dry. Luckily, no breakage or split ends but just seriously dry. A deep conditioning was in order and adding heat to that helps the cuticle open up and take the moisturizing effects better. The terry cloth interior also helps hold in the heat.I zapped the cap in the microwave - started at 60 seconds then added an additional 15 seconds. Cap was nicely warm to the touch. After conditioning my hair, I covered my hair with the included throw-away plastic cap and then topped it with this heat cap. Waited about 20-25 minutes and let it work its hot magic then removed, discarded plastic shower cap and washed my hair. You can see from the before and after pictures the difference the deep conditioning and heat cap made in my hair. In case you're interested in what I used, I researched various salong products (Redken, Matrix, etc) as well as DIY. What I learned about DIY - forget the egg and yogurt and other nonsense. Those molecules are too big to penetrate the hair shaft. Here's my recipe which was just enough for my hair:4 TBL Olive oil2 TBL Unrefined coconut oil (important that it's unrefined)1 TBL HoneyThe coconut oil is thick - think the consistency of lard. When you mix it with the olive oil and honey, it will start to break down but you'll see some little white bits in the mixture. That's ok - it will fully dissolve with the heat of your scalp/head plus the heat of the cap. Don't be tempted to microwave the mix. That will negate the value of the unrefined coconut oil which is oil that has not been heated in the manufacturing process. Have a rag or towel handy as this will drip down your forehead a bit. Leave on for 20-30 minutes tops. Your hair will only absorb so much moisture so leaving it on for hours isn't going to do any more good. Think of a sponge sitting in a bowl of water. Once that sponge is full, it literally can't absorb any more liquid. I shampooed my hair three rounds to make sure all the oil was out and then finished with my regular conditioner, as usual.I think the pictures speak volumes for the results.

I used the cap one time with a shower cap. Afterwards, I sat it next to my sink after I was done washing my face and I believe my counter must've been wet. I went in with a different conditioner and used it again and warmed it up again. Afterwards I put it in a drawer in the bathroom until the next deep condition a week later. When I go to pick it up it's hard as a rock and when I lift it I see mold or is sprouting? Outside was definitely molding but the inside might be sprouts. I got one for my sibling and she tried to wash hers because she didn't like the smell that came with it and this was the result a some time later.Might be ok if you literally never get it wet. Wasn't with the risk for me as I use it in the bathroom
Muy bueno lo utilizo con mis mascarillas para el cabello y es muy duradero
I literally received the cap earlier today and this is my very first time using it!!! Immediately after taking the cap out of the microwave I noticed burning smell. I then observe burn marks within the cap, and once I flipped it over: I noticed HUGE hole to be formed on the lining if the cap which of course led to the flaxseeds to fall from it. From what I can tell, the material used is not fit for this cap in order for it to be “microwaveable”, and is extremely cheap overall. This is not my first time using these hair treatment caps, I did have one that lasted me 3 years and could handle an adequate amount of time in the microwave. Super disappointed, if I could rate this purchase 0 stars I would…
I used it twice and I like that I can do other chore while my hair is getting the heated treatment.I have nothing wrong to say so far.
I was looking for a heating cap that wouldn't cost too much. After viewing some reviews I opted for this one. When I received it my initial thought was that the heating would be uneven because of the way the sections are stitched on the cap. The seeds can move freely around the cap leading to uneven distribution when they are heated, they all shift in one direction or the other. Decided to heat this up in the microwave and give it a shot anyways. Sure enough the left hand side of the cap has no heat since all the seeds shifted once on. The heat is good enough/lasts a good while but I expected even distribution of heat which was a bummer.
