These Dickies Tough Max carpenter pants live up to their name! I’ve put them through some serious work days—bending, climbing, crawling—and they hold up great. The fabric feels durable but still flexible, which makes them super comfortable to wear all day. The reinforced pockets and hammer loop are handy, and they haven’t shown any signs of wear even after multiple washes. Perfect for the job site or even casual wear. I’ll definitely be buying more pairs. Highly recommend for anyone who needs tough, reliable work pants, that fit perfectly.

I now have 2 pairs in different colours. They are fab. True to size in the waist, and a long 34" leg, which for me as a 35" is great as they are very wearable. They are a nice strong colour, and just the right cut, a bit baggier than straight leg, but not too much. The stretch material is great, very comfortable. I will buy more

Overall, these have become my everyday pants. I wanted something slim fitting with a more traditional pant/jean cut and these fit and flex really well. Like other reviewers mention, the fabric is soft and relatively lightweight compared to something like Carhartt duck fabric. You will wear through these pretty fast if you're doing anything that looks like work. The right-thigh pockets are the killer feature here and cannot be understated how excellent the pocket is designed. Personally, I can't stand carrying phones in one of the usual four pants pockets. And cargo pockets are shaped improperly to hold a phone. The main right-thigh pocket is great for any size phone. It is also partially closed on the top creating an angled entry. This means your phone won't slip out when you're sitting slightly reclined (unlike far more expensive pants with a similar pocket location). The smaller right-thigh pocket is perfect for pencils and markers and makes them easy to reach while you're laying out cuts. The one thing that keeps these from replacing basically 80% of the pants in my closet is the hammer loop. I've looked at literally every Dickies pants to see if I can get the the same style without the hammer loop and it doesn't exist. Without the hammer loop (that is probably useful to like 2% of tradesman anyway), these could even be worn as business casual. These would be the ideal travel pants: comfy on the airplane, barely dressy enough for a business meeting, and tough enough on the job site.Dickies: Please make these exact same pants without the hammer loop and I'll make a lifetime purchase to account for replacing these as they wear out :)

I've been trying to fine carpenter pants that are not super baggy on me and I finally found them. They seem pretty true to size. I love carhartt and really wanted to love there pants, but man, they are so damn baggy. I could probably fit both my legs in 1 (I'm thinner, but not skin and bones). Working around moving machines, baggy is not safe. Dickies fit me great. Very comfortable and flexable. Not super tight, they fit like pants should. The picture is comparing the same size pant leg for Dickies and Carhartt. This was the reason I've always shied away from carpenter pants. Hopefully the Dickies will hold up in a shop environment.Update: I’ve been wearing these for a few months now. They are holding up great. I have good movement in them. My biggest complaint is the stupid belt loops in the front. Just like everyone else complains, it’s just absolutely ridiculous. No clue why you would put them so far apart. Other then that I still like them. Pockets are different then other pants. They are very comfortable to put your hands in your pockets but they are not the best and holding things in them. Coins often fall out when sitting.DICKIES: PLEASE FIX YOUR FRONT BELT LOOP POSITION!!!!!

Good light-to-medium weight canvas. The fit is definitely regular, not at all slim. And despite dramatic reviews noting shrinkage, there has been none for the ones I got, which is making me annoyed I sized up in the length. Best thing about these pants is all the pockets in various locations so if you're kneeling or sitting you can still access certain pockets.

These are THE best work pants. The perfect combination of price, quality, durability, and comfort. I do landscaping for work and enjoy being an auto mechanic as a hobby. They hold up to everything. These pants are super comfortable, stretchy, breathable, lightweight, yet durable. I've been purchasing these (as well as the double knee version) for years. The "Jean" material (thicker) pants from dickies and Carhaart are way to stiff and thick. These pants are the ideal middle ground for everything. The only con is the pockets are thin. I have a thick wallet that I keep in my front pocket. The constant rubbing over the years wears the pockey material out. (This takes 2+ years of wear to do). Ill take that con anyday though. The pants are worth it.

For the price they feel like decent work pants. However the fit is odd. I usually wear 32 waist in every other pant type. Ordered a 32 /30 and the waist was tight but leg room was great. Ordered next size up and the waist was fine but the leg room was too baggy. Odd sizing . If you have a thin waste and have tree trunk legs or like extra baggy pants these are good.Had to return them.

On The Job Since 1922

A century ago, we were just a small Texas company making bib overalls. Built with quality, grit, and quiet pride, every pair that came out of our shop embodied the spirit of the American worker. While our workwear is now available in more than 100 countries across the world, we’re not all that different from when we first opened our doors. We still make bib overalls. We still embody that spirit of the American worker. The only difference is we get to do what we do for more hardworking people than ever before.
