We live on a lake and things are constantly blowing or dropped into the water. This little things has kept me from having to swim around looking for the chairs etc. that “fall” off the dock. Great to have around. Well made. Works well.

Nice grappling hook with a strong rope to pull it with. I look forward to some tree pruning jobs where I will use the hook with my garden tractor to pull some tree branches a certain direction before I cut them.

This product can be used in many ways; I keep mind on my boat and have had to use several times to retrieve fishing rods from the water; I used it to throw across the boating dock and pull in my boat; the hook itself is made with good metal and it's stainless steel; I'm sure after time I'll have to replace the rope so make sure to inspect it once and a while so that you won't lose it in the water; not intended to be used by children; think safety when using it; don't throw it across electrical wires.... 11/13/25: I am very satisfied with the hook and rope; I've used it in many occasions; I've used to to retrieve items that have fell overboard from my boat; used it to toss it across the dock and bring to boat in; used it to bring branches down from trees to trim them, and many other things...Great item

Bought this to help with magnet fishing and it has surpassed my expectations to say the least. The grapple itself is beautiful and well made, the rope and carabiner with lock on it would have me trusting them to repel with! Accidentally hooked an old field plow that was swept in the river last hurricane, honestly thought I’d be here buying it’s replacement if I couldn’t retrieve it. Had myself and another pulling and winching the rope in hopes of being able to bend the hooks to release it or move the plow but no luck. Now I’m sure other brands would have bent the hooks, maybe the rope would have snapped or the carabiner would have failed but this freaking set up is stronger than I expected. If I could give it 10/10 it would definitely get that. Only thing I wish it had was another carabiner at the other end of the rope to clip onto myself or the bridge I’m throwing from so I don’t have to worry about loosing the end of the rope after a long throw. But that’s personal preference and wouldn’t be a deal breaker if I was buying for the first time again.

I had a large pine tree limb, about 6" diameter and 6' long, dangling from some vines in the backyard. Concerned it might fall and land on me while mowing the grass I bought this to snatch it down. The medium size grapple was easy enough to throw 20 ft in the air and grab the limb to pull it down. The grapple hook itself is built very well and the points are sharp. The rope it came with is very strong as well. I would highly recommend this product.

So this hook is big, very well made and impressive. The reason for 3 stars and not 5 is that as soon as I saw the carabiner I thought what a cheap looking thing. The hook is solid and I have no doubt could hold a lot of weight but that carabiner... the locking mechanism is flimsy and loose. I should have gone with my gut and replaced it with something I was more confident of. I have a small man made pond that has had branches fall into it over the years. While using this hook to remove the branches and what ever had ended up in it with my nephew we got about quarter way around the pond pulling dozens of branches of all sizes from the pond my 10 year old nephew tossed the hook another time and when he began to pull the hook in he mentioned that it felt really easy. The next part got me. I thought he was goofing me when he asked where the hook was but that was not the case. The cheap carabiner's locking nut I guess you would call it had managed to unscrew it's self and now I have a grappling hook in my pond somewhere.. The water temp is well I woke up to 3" of snow on the ground today so going in is not an option even if the water was clearer. I'm trying to clear up the water as it has gotten murky and though spring fed I can't see more than a couple of feet down. I will purchase another hook but not waste my money on the rope. Wish they would have put a better carabiner on it.

A good product at a good price. It was a little smaller than I anticipated. But it worked for what I needed.
