08-03-2026The jump rings that are 6mm or larger close very nicely and meet exactly but the 4mm and 5mm jump rings often overlap at the ends rather than meeting exactly. In my opinion that makes the small jump rings poor quality especially since I will have to trim them all to bring them to my standards - which is a big waste of time for me. But the metal is strong and shines adequately and so the 6mm and larger jump rings are of good quality. The tools are good for a new jewelry maker - seem like adequate quality (close well, seem to be comfortable, do their function, etc). Good for my purpose in that I am giving them away to my niece who is just getting interested in jewelry making. The Clasps are okay. The jump ring container seems to close well and it is convenient to store all the rings in one place - so, it is a very nice addition. Given all you get for the price, it is a very good deal! I am rating it a 4 since I can't give it a 5 due to the poor quality of the 4mm & 5mm jump rings.

08-03-2026Overall, this kit is easy to use, and I would recommend it for someone who wants to buy a decent jewelry kit. Upon using the tools, the tools were comfortable to use. The tools consist of tweezers, a jump ring holder, and some pliers. The jump rings are in a neat organizer, which is convenient. There are instructions printed on a notecard that teaches users how to take care of the pliers. However, this kit does not contain top-quality equipment. The pliers cannot withstand multiple uses. After light usage, one of the pliers tends to wear down and leave residue on whatever jewelry you are adjusting, so proceed with caution. Also, there are rare instances where the jump ring holder will become applicable, rendering it impractical for the most part. Even though the instructions note that the pliers may need regular oiling, there is no oil. It should be required for jewelry kits with pliers to include an oil lubricant so customers can keep their pliers in good shape. This kit is worth it because it is still useable despite slight defects.
