These lipsticks are HIGHLY pigmented.I've made a color chart over white paper in morning daylight, as the colors the company shows are very misleading. I really like this brand, and it has a pretty good staying power, especially when liner is used in tandem. Note: Rosewood is my go-to for Autumn coloring. Marsala is a close second. Wild Rose is a good Spring palate color. Cinnabar is very orange. (I bought the Amberlight to tone Cinnabar down, but it was very light, so it didn't help, and only made it brighter, like a melon color). On lips, the colors are lighter and brighter than you'd think!
Nothing like the clinique lipstick I had from boots rosette disappointing.
Excellent colour. Long lasting and keeps lips moisturised.
I like the feel of this lipstick but the color wasn’t as expected. I will definitely look into buying a different color to see if would be a better match as the lipstick itself seemed great!
Amberlight is a lovely neutral nude with high colour payoff. The lipstick glides on smoothly and feels moisturising, then is starts to dry down a bit which I like as then the colour stays longer. I was originally concerned the colour would be too light and was me out as can happen iwth a lot of nudes on me, but it wasn't.
I searched far and wide for a long-lasting cruelty-free, organic lipstick but that's almost a fruitless search.I landed on this one when I was about to give up.The color options are great, I chose amberlight. It's matte, but it does have a bit of a shine.Application:It's easy to apply, smooth on your lips, smells great and the lipstick holder is nice.Moisturizing:It really moisturizes my lips when it's on, and I also used it when my lips were chapped and it looked great!Long-lasting:It is long-lasting but it has a lot of transfer. When I apply it, I usually blot my lips on a tissue to help seal it.When you eat and drink it does give off a lot of product, but because of the strong pigments, it still lasts through the workday. When I get home it still looks like I'm wearing lipstick! This is a great choice for anyone looking for organic makeup options, or long-lasting lipstick!I also bought 100% Pure cocoa butter lipstick, it's supposed to be long-lasting and clean. I can't wait to try that one.
I bought True Red color and I love it. The liptick is a true red like the name implies. I have a fair complexion and it looks great on me. I often get complements from total strangers on the color of my lips. I also like how moisturizing the lipstick is and how long it stays on.
I was hesitant to spend this much on lipstick, but I am so impressed! The pigment is so bright, I love that just one light layer brings such a bright color. I will gently tap it on my lips for a more subtle color if desired, but a little goes a long way, so I know it will last. I was also very impressed with how well it stays on. If you wait a few minutes before wiping or drinking/eating, then very little will come off whenever you do. It truly is a lipstick that lasts the day. I also love the clean ingredients, which means I am worry-free about any toxins, especially with young kids around. I've had so many compliments when wearing it too (the warm undertones make it a great red for an Autumn like me). Highly recommend this brand, I will surely be splurging on ILIA for this color and many more!
Beautiful color and moisturizing lip color.Quality ingredients.
Love how it compliments me I wish it is more lasting nonetheless great color and safe for pregnancy
Is NOT Wild Rose, it's Amberlight - I thought I was ordering the now discontinued item, which is Wild Rose, if I knew this was the Amberlight shade I could have just gotten that from the shop, jeez.
I absolutely love this — the color is beautiful and truly long lasting. It hits that sweet spot of being hydrating without being overly glossy or heavy. It gives your lips (or skin, depending on product) a healthy, natural look, not a “slick” or oily one.If you want something that delivers rich pigment plus just enough moisture (but not too much), this is a champ. Highly recommend!
This lipstick is worth $25 and I don’t usually spend that much. It’s smooth and creamy, the color is vibrant, it stays on, and it doesn’t run. I also like the fact that it’s got ingredients I can live with.

What is the wear power?
It is our longest lasting formula, with four times more pigment than any lipstick we've ever made.
Do I need a lipliner?
This formula is feather-free, so only if you want to.
I have super dry lips. Can I still wear this formula?
Yes, Color Block Lipstick is made with conditioning oils, such as organic Castor Seed Oil and Apricot Seed Oil to nourish and soften lips. For boosted hydration, prep with Balmy Days Lip Conditioner, which will also sheer out the color a little.
Can I use Color Block Lipstick with the Tinted Lip Conditioner?
Yes! Many customers apply Tinted Lip Conditioner in between lipstick applications to boost hydration and revive the color.
What dyes are used in the lipsticks? Why are they not all natural dyes?
We use a combination of natural pigments and food grade dyes. The choice to use food grade dye was preferred over the use of Carmine (crushed beetle skin) when formulating certain lip colors.
