08-03-2026Well made design but has one short coming. The distance between the hinge and the cradle is slightly less than half the length of my smart phone. If you're not careful the phone will flip over the back of the hinge and fall onto whatever surface the stand is sitting on. As long as you're careful everything should be fine but if I were going to redesign this thing I would add another inch between the hinge and the cradle.

08-03-2026i have lost count of how many compact folding stands i have purchased for my kindle or phone. more than a dozen, easily... and at last, i have found 'the one'... with other stands, they either dont have the adjustability i need, OR theyre cheaply manufactured and wind up cracked or broken after being tossed around in my bag or luggage. i am 100% positive that will never happen with this stand, as it is built like a tank... every part of it is metal, THICK metal at that... its a bit heavy, and a bit bulkier than some other stands ive used, but i can tell you one thing for sure, its not going to break on you. it is easily adjustable to pretty much any angle you could want, and the 'hooks' that hold whatever it is youre putting on it are large enough for just about any device you might want to use it with, including my phone with a fairly thick case, and my kindle with a folding cover. the rubber pads on the hooks cover the entire surface, they arent dinky little stick-ons that dont have enough coverage, or will come off after light usage... and the non-slip pad on the bottom covers the entire base. it is super grippy, wont slide, and wont scratch whatever surface youre using it on.the only way this could be any better is if it were made of titanium, to make it lighter and thinner with the same durability... UGREEN, take note, i would cheerfully pay you 5x the price for this stand in titanium. seriously. like right this instant.

My goal was to get a stand that would give me something akin to a "tiny workstation" experience, whether my phone is on my desk as sort of a tiny smart display, or I'm traveling light and I need to be productive with just a compact keyboard and my phone/iPad Mini.This one was well worth breaking the $10 ceiling of this category. It has none of the pain points of the many other stands I'd acquired over the years. I can adjust it to almost any desired angle. The hinges are STIFF without any slop. Its forks are deep enough that I don't need to take my phone or my iPad Mini out of their chunky cases, and there's plenty of clearance for a charging cable. The all-metal construction and the grippy silicone pad on the bottom means I can't accidentally nudge it out of position by brushing against the device or its cable.And it folds reasonably flat. It fits well in my smalllest "daily carry" bag with ease.It's heavy…not the best choice if you're willing to sacrifice some of the above in favor of a kind of "so light and small I don't even know it's in my pocket" sort of thing. Also, I carry it inside a zippered cloth bag, so that its metal edges won't scratch up whatever else I've got in my bag. Well, that's the price of metal vs. plastic.
