08-03-2026Everything about this rod is awesome. Lightweight, strong, action is phenomenal. But the version of the rod made for spinning reels employs this sharp tab to hold lures when not in use, instead of a more common half loop on most popular rods.The problem with this is the line gets caught on it during 1 out of every 10 casts. I’ve lost a couple of lures when trying for distance casts. Really frustrating. Recommend pulling it off and filing it down to prevent loss of gear!

08-03-2026Like the quality of this rod and cant wait to try it on my next trout fishing trip. Will add more after ive had a chance to use. The 2nd tip is a nice feature, that is a backup in case the first one breaks. Also, can be used when you want a different rod action.

08-03-2026Good sturdy rods. I like the ability to switch from medium to medium-light action tips. I purchased 2 for a canoe fishing trip and they worked well even on the biggest Pike. They even come with a nylon carrying case. You can add a stiff wooden dowel to the case for even more protection from breakage.

08-03-2026I got the M and Ml 6 Ft rod and this thing is a beast. Paired with the Shimano Metanium 20 this thing is a super light combo(cast all day if you want). Small enough to get though areas where you usually can’t throw, especially in the aquaduct gates. I use the ML tip mainly with a 1/4 jig head and soft plastic jerk baits. It just straight slays them. Sensitive and strong enough backbone to pull them out of the ducts. 5/5 I recommend his rod to have in the trunk at all times.

08-03-2026I am giving this a 4 star only. My line always get stuck on that hook holder when I try to cast the line. I think it is a poor design. They should put that on top not on the bottom. I have successfully able to save my second 12 inches Pompano this morning. I used 40 braided line with 40 lbs mono leader. Two weeks ago I failed to save my first Pompano catch. I believe it was at least 12 inches long. I couldn’t sleep thinking of what I have done wrong. That was my first catch. My 26 lbs braided line broke when I tried to bring the fish up. I was fishing at the Fort De Soto Pier in Florida. I like this rod way better than my previous rods. This is way too light and more durable. I am using 40 lbs braided main line with 40 lbs mono line and I got stuck maybe twice already on that big rocks or whatever it is down there. The line broke before the rod. So I guess I made the right decision to replace my Sougaliyang telescope rod with this rod. I broke two of those telescope rods. This rod is more durable.Update 10/1/2022 - I stopped fishing for a month or two until today. To my disappointment I found the tip of the MH broke I don’t know how. I grab the M to replace the MH and my goodness it brook also when I do my first cast. I am attaching a photo. I am downgrading my rating from 4 stars to 3.11/1/2022- Today the rod broke again that is why I am downgrading my review from a 3 star to only 1 star. Save yourself some frustrations. Don’t buy this. Your money will end up in the trash. I broke three of this. I am not buying any of this brand. No good!
