08-03-2026I am really tired of always replacing my manicure set because they break – cheap materials and just clunky. I was prepared to put down some money on a decent manicure set – not too crazy thou I am sure there are way more expensive sets out there. When I came across this set, I watched the little company sizzle reel of the product and the company history. Seeing that they are from Germany, reminded me of high-quality German engineering and the clean aesthetic design of the Bauhaus. What could go wrong there!? So far, the set has been extremely durable and easy to clean. The minimal leather (real leather) pouch is nice and not bulky. Easily lays flat. The material of the tools feels quality with a satin-matte finish and has weight. Like they used real metal in a forge. I am hoping someday when I am using these, someone recognizes the brand and compliments what a good choice I made.

08-03-2026The nail clippers have a very shallow curve, it’s not straight, but it means you have to clip the nails in several small clips instead of one or two clips. I thought the personal set would be so nice, but for this reason I almost hate both the toe nail and finger nail clippers. On the other hand, the nail file and the tweezer are excellent. Just the nail clippers suck.

08-03-2026For the price, I do not feel this set is what it should be. Yes, it looks nice, and the separate pieces at first appear well-made, and okay, yes, the leather case is decent. But when it comes to actual functionality, the clippers in particular are absolutely sub par. They do not work as well as the inexpensive clippers you can find in gas stations and drug/convenience stores. They tend to cut at weird angles and the blades are thick and difficult to fit under your nails to get the right trim. I wanted to love this set, but I guess it’s just another example of sometimes less is more. I’m back to my gas station clippers and wish I would have returned this set before time ran out.
