We has been fishing with clear bubbles/casting floats for decades to keep our lines up and visible in the mountain lakes where we fly fish. It works great and ensures we can get a deep cast. This set is a large quantity, but a smaller individual size of bubble than we typically use. We have had trouble finding the larger, two-inch size we normally use, so decided to give these a chance (especially at the better value per bubble). They are a little harder for our kids to break, with the smaller size, so that's a win, but they also don't cast quite as far as our larger bubbles. For us adults, who really want that long cast, it's not as ideal. For our kids, who need more durability than weight for a long case, they are working pretty well. We are happy they fit well on our lines and work with our swivels and find them easy to use. Again, better value for the quantity.
These work pretty good. My ultralight will cast this thing about 40 feet with no water added…
These slip floats though they are small are the perfect addition to any tackle box. Especially if you are going to fly fish using spin gear or are trying to float small bait with little wake in the water. They are easy to string on almost any size line. They are sealed very well, but they will remain bouyant when almost full of water. If you choose to fill them. They hold water very well as you can see in the photo. The one balancing on the box is almost full and does not leak at all. When filled with water they have the perfect wieght for allowing a smooth cast, without causing the bobber to slip from being to large. And they land in the water with very little wake. Which helps alot when attempting not to scare away finicky fish. When you take into account that you are getting 50 of these. It is almost impossible to pass up on such a good deal. Do yourself a favor and buy these slip floats. Tie on a flie about 2 feet down the line, and go catch some fish. You won't regret it.
No way I could put it on my line. There’s no loop or clamp to open to attach it.Then vacation was passed the 30 days to return item
These small bobbers are perfect for our New Mexico streams. Good quality.
I purchased these bubbles before going on a trip. I pre-filled 10 0f them to have ready when we put our rigs together, out of the 10 I filled 9 did not hold water in them, I was very disappointed, that's a 90% failure. Now I have 40 more I can't use.
This product makes catching fish mush easier. You need some weight to cast out far to where the fish are right? Problem is when the fish picks up your bait it feels the resistance of the bait and drops it before becoming hooked.Well, this product lets you cast out far, with the weight of the water filled in the bubble, but upon sinking becomes weightless in the water and the fish can feel no resistance as the line becomes tight by pulling through the bubble. You see and feel more bites with a far greater hook up rate then normally weighted lines.give it a try, you'll be glad you did. PS. I have personally used these for 65 years and know exactly what I am talking about.
